Great bar/restaurant foods nice and fresh and brilliant pint always amazing service

The downfield/DoX …. Table service is poor not been there for a while but after tonight won’t be rushed to go back

You will struggle to get a better curry anywhere in Dundee... Staff are attentive and friendly and you get a decent pint too! Place was buzzing and the staff were run off their feet but this didn't impact on the quality at all!

i have spent many a happy hour at pantos and plays in here Although the cast haven't changed for many a year that doesnt matter. the downfield hall is quant a bit like a proper old fashioned theatre plush seats and an ice cream vendor at interval

Not 5 stars bc of buffet night ..... it was poor selection and lower quality than their main menu ....if going to buffet go around 5pm if you want fresh and more choices last table is 6:30 as we were and I was disappointed there was only korma sauce left no chicken There must have been a plague of locusts in earlier.

Curries are always good however classic meals aren't as consistent. Tried the buffet and selection is good however if your vegetarian I wouldn't reccomend as you can only get macaroni as a main option at the buffet. Don't get me wrong it's good macaroni but not worth the cost of the buffet. I feel this should be advertised as such. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

1.Waiting over half an hour before we had to call a waiter over and another half hour before our starters arrived, 2. Mains were satisfactory although the waiter came looking to collect our plates even though all parties weren't finished. 3. We ordered off the menu with a set price for starters, mains and desserts and we are still waiting for the waiter to come and take our order for desserts. 4. Staff were having a great time at the bar not bothering about the clients whether we were OK or not. 5. Not a nice experience but as we were on holiday we can safely say we wouldn't be back. 6. The place has the makings if a good eatery however at this present moment changes would need to be made.

Amazing food, but some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Every time I’ve came here or ordered food from here, there’s always been an issue. First time I ordered collection from here they gave us someone else’s order and we had to go all the way back to change it had to wait another 30 mins for it to be fixed and also had to ask for some sort of compensation as we weren’t offered anything. Every time we’ve tried to book a table on the phone they’ve says there’s no space and we’ve went there to see and there’s been plenty of tables and we’ve asked for a table and they said there fully booked for the rest of the night although there is about 3 customers in the whole place. Really disappointed as we regularly come for tea this had always been our place to come as a family. We had a table tonight booked for 25 guests, well was actually the back area so hired for £25. Deposit was paid for £5 a head which I totally understand but in theory this doesn’t work with a group this size when the girls are putting food down on one bill drink down on another ! We are a large family who got together for a surprise 70th meal we’re paying separately (4 separate people paying) which I don’t think was a big ask but this was made to be such an issue which actually put a massive damper on the night.
