Love this place, food is excellent and good value. Friendly accommodating staff. Ideal location to meet friends from Edinburgh and Perth. Can cope with our group of 7 people. Turned up as a party of 2 at 8 o’clock on a Friday night with plenty tables left, asked really politely for a table to be told no because their kitchen was closing. Supposed to shut at 11pm. There was one table taken and I got the feeling they wanted an early finish. Was really lovely food, friendly staff. Reason for only 4 is they have a vegan menu but their chips are not cooked separately, even though they are on the vegan menu. I would suggest you invest in a separate fryer. I had an open sandwich with Hummus and Roasted veggies and because I couldn't have the chips, he served it with a rocket and onion salad. Very nice. Absolutely shocking behavior by the staff at Court House last night. 20:05 exactly we went as a walk in and were told the kitchen was closing. I had to double check my watch as for a second I thought the clocks had changed. Certainly will not be going back and will be advising anyone considering going to have a rethink. We would have been spending a considerable amount in a restaurant that look reasonably quiet for a Friday night. Very disappointing

When I travel south down the moterways, I stop off at my usual filling stations....but if I have more time Ive got some nice options in Moffat, Kirby Longsdale and Lancaster to name a few. When Im heading north, it usually Kinross Servicies for comfort break and a snack. But this trip north. my dughter decided to give The Court house a try. Thankfully she has the knack for picking great places. No booking, but they squeezed us in late lunch time. After a short wait in vestibule, we were shown to a table. Simple sour dough sandwiches, all freshly prepared were just what we needed to get us ready to continue our journey. Cant say anything more than they were great and kitchen staff know their...
