"Called in today for an impromptu late lunch. Staff were attentive on arrival, and very prompt but not too pushy) in taking my order. I decided on a toastie. When it arrived it was a very generous sized toastie with fries, salad and coleslaw. It was absolutely delicious. And fantastic value for money Even though they were busy the dining area was clean with no tables full of dirty pots. Staff were friendly Selina was very professional and made time to make people feel welcome. I even took a homemade cheese scone away with me to keep me going on my night shift that night. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be back x"

I always receive excellent service here. I recently visited this restaurant with my Guide Dog and the service was top-notch.

My go to place for food at the moment! I live in Doncaster and it’s a decent 20 min drive for me! I’d much rather spend my time and money on fuel to eat here than anywhere else! The food quality and prices are insane!...

Visited for the first time today for brunch and very enjoyable it was too. The eggs burydict was delicious and very well put together. Would have expected that level of quality in a high end hotel or restaurant. Both the mocha and almond milk flat...

I made a reservation for brunch at this restaurant for my husband's birthday. Upon our arrival, we were simply directed towards a couple of tables in the center and told "you're over there". There was no greeting, no acknowledgement of the birthday celebration. In fact, my husband turned to me... Voir le carte

We had a thoughly lovely lunch today. Family gathering for mother's day. We chose based on positive reviews online and because it was a mid point between Yorkshire, Peak District and Manchester. Four of us had the afternoon tea and the other the English breakfast. We all enjoyed it. The cakes are amazing. Thank you

The term perfection personified has never been so appropiate. Today we enjoyed 2 pananis at the Classic Cafe, the staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly, the food was served quickly and was evidently freshly baked, with what I can only describe as the best panani I have ever seen, smelt and tasted! We will absolutely be returning! Thank you to all the wonderful team at The Classic Cafe!

"The welcome we received was pleasant, although not very personal, and our details were not checked, which was surprising considering how difficult it was to secure a reservation. The restaurant is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. My husband and I brought two bottles of champagne, but we were not offered an ice bucket and were given standard wine glasses instead of flutes. The food was served promptly, starting with an amuse bouche of butternut squash veloute with a creamy accompaniment served in egg boxes. The chef explained the dish himself, and it was delicious. The second course, an aged rice dish reminiscent of a soupy risotto flavored with parmesan and espresso, was my least favorite. I found it poorly presented and the coffee flavor didn't come through well. The third course, a beautifully cooked lamb cutlet finished on a barbecue outside, was accompanied by flavorful lentils. However, the broccoli that came with it was plain and could have used some additional flavor. The dish was not explained to us. The fourth dish, which I initially thought was eel, turned out to be smoked eel and was served with beetroot. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We were served two desserts: a warm chocolate foam with orange sorbet and a deconstructed rhubarb custard with pink meringue pieces, both of which were delicious. The bill was not presented to us, so we followed the lead of other guests who left cash on the table as they left. My husband had a nice chat with the chef, and I joined in after a visit to the restroom. The chef was very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of personality in presenting and explaining each dish. The experience felt somewhat impersonal and lacked interest. I believe guest interaction is crucial, so my tip would be for the restaurant to take the time to engage with guests, even if it means spending less time in the kitchen. I did not give a perfect score due to the presentation and slightly underwhelming flavors in some dishes. I believe that in fine dining, every element of the dish should be bursting with flavor. Despite this, we had an enjoyable evening and would return if we are able to secure a reservation."
