The Churchill Inn - Menu

First time here. Good reception and service. Excellent specials board and our meals were extremely well cooked and thoroughly enjoyable.

Visited the pub to meet friends for lunch. We received a warm welcome and ordered food from the “Specials” board. The service and food were excellent. We will be back.

We were driving back after staying in Taunton and we’re looking for somewhere for lunch. We decided to stop at The Churchill Inn. What a find our lunch was absolutely delicious and the service was first class. The food was akin to some Michelin star restaurants we’ve attended. We’ll done!

We had a lovely meal at The Churchill Inn. A lovely choice of the menu. Gluten free options were not marked on the menu but the chief came and told what would be gluten free. There was lots to choose from and told me they had gluten free buns for the burgers and the chips were also gluten free

Fantastic lunch here for me and my partner. Tuna red onion hot baguette for me, cheese mushroom for my partners, came with salad and chips. I’ve never had a better baguette so much filling and so tasty! Staff were all very friendly and attentive, we will definitely be returning. Excellent value too!

Very poor Sunday lunch. Beef and pork mix. Beef had been reheated in the microwave and was curled up at the edges. Pork was dry. Vegetables and gravy were tasteless. The young waiter noticed that I didn’t have any pork crackling, so went to get some for me. He bought it out in his hands and placed it on my plate!!! I think some food hygiene training is essential! We won’t be returning and will continue to enjoy the absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch at our regular haunt in Cheddar.

Three of us had lunch here recently, and very good it was too. Our welcome was warm and convivial, and service throughout was professional and friendly. The 'mis matched ' country house style furniture helps create a relaxing ambience. Food was reasonable pub dining style, certainly nothing to complain about but nothing striking either other than, on the day of our visit at least, my fish n ' chips came with garden peas and not the mushy peas on the board. Recommended if you 're in the area.

After spotting this pub on the roadside on way back home from our holiday we decided to try our luck for a table. Once we parked up we saw it was extremely busy but after speaking to one of the bar staff they managed to fit us in thankfully. we continued to be seated and the warmth of the service we received was excellent and the food was outstanding! We shall definitely return but I recommend booking up as it looked very popular for a Sunday roast and we was just very lucky. Thank you for a great experience :

Went with family for Sunday roast (we have been here many times before) They said only beef and turkey left which we found out later was untrue Today the food took over a hour when we started eating the beef was terrible uncooked potatoes and gravey that had pepper in not good the head waiter's said ill go and see what I can do did she No we were still hungry so had a pudding I had Eaton mess which just had ice cream and cream no fruits only to be told it had coulis well it was terrible and cost the earth My sister told the owner/manager about our concerns who became very rude and told her the meal next Sunday would cost £150 can't believe his attitude I was 1 of the 1st customers he had whe...
