Great stopover in our motorhome at this pub. Staff were welcoming and food very good and a wide choice. Can’t fault and will use again!

The roast dinner at this restaurant is always outstanding. The staff are attentive and accommodating. If you're looking for a classic pub with a fantastic menu, this is the place for you.

Popped in for a pint whilst walking in lovely Dale Abbey. Super friendly welcome, good choice of beer and cider and charming beer garden. Such a lovely stop will certainly walk this way again and call in. Voir le carte

After a couple of 2021 visits with different people taking them out for a pub lunch, all reports where great, quick pleasant service and large portion meals, not sure what others think they have experienced but its all good every time i visit.

Rang in advance to see if they had room for our van overnight. When we arrived we were told the fee was £5 but this needed to be in cash. (Obviously keeping for themselves rather than go through the till)!! On park4night they advertise free...

Visited for lunch with my wife, daughter and grand children. This is a lovely pub in very pleasant surroundings. It has a lawned beer garden with picnic benches for diners and drinkers, together with swings for the children's entertainment. Good value for money food and... Voir le carte

I always bring customers from our nearby factory to The Carpenters Arms because they consistently have a fantastic selection of delicious food. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff have a positive attitude, and Leah, a recent addition to the bar team, stands out as a credit to the staff. It's definitely worth stopping by for a pint and a meal.

I have never been inside a pub that has so many negative warning posters on the walls! I don't know whether they suffer from trouble but they make sure that you are aware that they will not accept trouble/drugs etc of any kind at every opportunity. They are near the bar, on the walls in the main room and plastered all over the toilet walls. The owner is friendly enough but my husband was less than impressed with the beer and we ordered a combo for two which was OK but was very well cooked! We had gone to see what it would be like for an evening meal as we were staying close by but we decided that we would find somewhere else. As my rating says it was average, not horrendous but certainly not...

I recently moved to the village and have been warmly welcomed by everyone at the pub. Last week, I missed the roast dinner service by a few minutes, so I jokingly pre-ordered one for the following week. Unfortunately, I had to work on the day I was supposed to finally enjoy my roast dinner. Wanting to be a good citizen, I called the pub to cancel my order so they wouldn't waste food. The landlady, Liz, teased me about missing it again but generously offered to plate it up and deliver it to my house next door.
