"My food was good and that is the only positive note I have to say about this dump. Place looks as if someone has spray painted a jobby with gold paint. Barman was condensing and disrespected did not apologise for my friends food being brought late, rudely took away our plates when we were in the middle of a serious conversation, and had the dress sense of Simon Cowell. Will not be back in this establishment if you paid me!"

A solid, dog-friendly pub that does good food. The selection of ale is variable depending on when you visit, but the last time I was in included three beers that weren't pale! A surprising rarity in Edinburgh these days. This is definitely the best gastropub in the area. I hope they continue to do well.

Booked tables in advance to watch the EURO opening match. The pub cancelled our reservation at the last minute and denied providing us a table. Apparently it was their booking system that was at fault. Spent the entire evening looking for a pub to watch the match, ended up watching at home. Horrible night.
