"We held our dad's wake in this lovely pub and we were all so pleased with everything. The buffet provided was excellent value for money, beautifully presented and very delicious. Amanda, Giuseppe and the rest of the team were friendly and professional throughout the booking process, as well as on the day itself. Would love to visit again on a happier day, and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a comfortable space for a function. Wonderful!"

loves this family pub. always pay attention to me and my family and friends. yummy eat, spacious and sport saavy. easy parking and good transport connections. worth a visit.

I went to the frying with my family on Sunday. it was absolutely amazing eating and they have so nice and friendly staff. good choice of beer and a few nice gins. we'll be back soon, in any case.

excellent staff! was thrilled with the just received service, all staff, where really friendly, engaged and clearly had a rapport with the rest of the hunters. for the curry as our main, that was just as good for the price class.

We just popped in on the off chance, I was with my dad, brother and 3 year old daughter... What a brilliant afternoon, great live music.. food was brilliant, no wait! Staff were friendly and happy... Just how a pub should be on a Sunday afternoon xx

"Last week I had poached eggs and toast which was a big mistake as their was loads of hot water within the eggs which turned the bread to mush. The food was excellent, I would give it a 5 out of 5 rating. The service was also great, I would rate it a 4 out of 5. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and welcoming, I would give it a 5 out of 5. "Our search for high quality restaurants in and around Orpington received a massive boost after our visit to Indian Essence. The exterior and location are rather unassuming but do not be fooled by that the quality of the food is exceptional, befitting the connection the restaurant has with Benares. The Daal Makhani and the Tandoori Murg dishes were particular favourites and the overall experience was enhanced by the complimentary amuse bouch. However, on the downside the restaurant was practically empty and lacked any atmosphere at all although this could be due to the post Xmas blues. "This is a really nice restaurant whose lunch menu provides great value for money. While it's not made clear on the lunch menu itself, you get both a starter and a main for £9. The portions were good sizes and we all thought it was really delicious and authentic tasting food. This is one place where we will definitely go to again. The ambience is nice and the waitstaff we had was attentive and friendly."
