"very recommended! stopped for lunch during a bike tour and are back to breakfast this morning. Amazing eating and crying and the latte are the best I tasted. the sourdough toast with tapenade and sun-blood tomato is incredible! the staff is also very friendly! will definitely return on our next trip to the south downs."

"Appalling customer service and a total lack of respect for the customers! I phoned G&G 13.20 to ensure they were open and still serving food. I was categorically told that if I placed my order by 13.45 we would be served. We arrived approximately 5 minutes later to be told the kitchen had closed. There was no shortage of food or staff, I made the point that I had been promised to be served but no explanation was given. I asked to speak to the manager who, again, couldn’t explain why they had broken their commitment to me. I asked what was the problem/constraint? The ‘manager’ merely said “ there is no need to be rude “ . I asked to clarify how she could accuse me of being rude? She couldn’t think of anything to say apart from “the kitchen is closed”. I said I was very dissatisfied and would reflect this in a review, they were not bothered and said that it wouldn’t impact them as they had been doing ok for the last 5 years. Absolutely appalling and disgraceful in my opinion. I actively search out small local businesses and try to support them, this establishment deserves no support whatsoever. It is interesting that the staff were prepared to spend more time arguing with me than it would have taken them to make us a sandwich! BTW the noticeboard stated closing 3 o’clock. A beautiful sunny bank holiday with many potential customers, why not stop serving early and go home! A strange business model!!! We went to Bluebird café and had great food with fantastic customer service despite the significant number of customers."

"Looked around Arundel for a greasy spoon and when I say that I mean fried slice is mandatory. I’m not into smashed avocado on toast I want a proper low calorie fry up and double everything. I had the all day breakfast which came with all you see on the photos. Staff were great, friendly and quick to deliver the food. We sat by the front window as you walk in and consumed the beautiful views outside and the cosy snug ambiance of the Café itself. My only personal preference would be to swap the sausages for a local made sausage and to have the choice of bubble squeak. That’s my preference and doesn’t detract from the overall experience. Definitely going back here."

"We had delicious afternoon tea here finger sandwiches, tea and scones with cream and jam, and cake all the food is prepared to an extremely high standard, and we were made to feel so welcome by Helen and Kelly. The tea room has a welcoming, vintage vibe, with lots of things to look at while you're eating. Outdoor seating is also available during good weather. The facilities were clean and well appointed. We felt very safe with regards to strict adherence to covid guidelines. Highly recommended to book in advance so that you get a table at this wonderful little eaterie! A hidden gem. Thank you to Tea in the Square for making our afternoon out, so special."

"absolutely amazing service from the most amazing waiter who always sounds like alice, but not! he has made us a legendary! the older waitress was great, but the younger dark-haired girl was rude and almost ruined our experience, as she was so insane that I almost asked not to come to our table anymore! the food was delicious and that was worth waiting! great restaurant, great team (minus the young waitress) thank you for remembering my friends birthday one!"
