We went for Sunday Lunch on the 22 Oct. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and one of the best Sunday lunches we've had. Perfectly cooked and I had the beef which melted in the mouth. Service was top class and when I came to pay, I had to ask to give a tip, which I like as I hate to be forced to tip if it's not good. They definitely deserved the tip. We liked the atmosphere so much, we decided to book a weekend stay in December and have the festive menu, which we are looking forward to. Voir le carte

The cauliflower cheese side was disappointingly small, with a watery sauce that lacked any cheesy flavor. One of my friends ordered the chicken but didn’t enjoy it and ended up leaving half of it on the plate. Throughout our meal, no one checked in to see how we were doing, and the staff appeared indifferent. On a positive note, the desserts were lovely; however, by then the quality of service had already declined. Given the high price of the meal, we were disappointed with both the quality of the food and the service. That said, the interior of the pub was charming, featuring beams and an open fire in a picturesque countryside setting.

The Blue Ball is the perfect place to stay if you're into fishing, shooting, golf, or simply exploring Devon. The owners were fantastic and truly made our stay memorable. All the staff went the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly, accommodating us with late meals in the restaurant and early breakfasts. The menu and food quality are exceptional—beautifully presented and delicious. Don’t miss out on the sweets and special desserts; they’re a must-try! The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and come with comfortable beds and all the necessary tea-making facilities. Staying here will definitely enhance your holiday experience! One word, TERRIBLE! My wife and I decided to try here as reviews seemed ok. What a mistake. Firstly my wife asked for a Sauvignon Blanc only to be told non was available, how does a pub run out of a popular wine! Several items on the food menu were unavailable which was a surprise as the place was almost empty. We decided on the chicken katsu burger with skin on chips and slaw. Expecting a fresh chicken fillet, cooked to perfection, katsu sauce, with the afore mentioned 'skin on ' fries but, what actually arrived was a world away from expectations. The 'skin on ' chips were deep fried frozen chips, swimming in grease and absent of 'skin '. The chicken, if you could call it that, as it appear... Voir le carte
