"Sunday roast was really lovely. I had lamb, hubbie had beef, good selection of inclusive veg and everything was cooked to perfection. The apple crumble and custard was yummy. Friendly attentive staff, nothing was any bother, made us feel very welcome. We look forward to returning, well done. Kid-friendliness: Garden with plenty of seating, swing and slide and safe for the little ones. Wheelchair accessibility: I use a crutch and had no problems getting around. Plenty of space for wheelchairs. wow wow wow .amazing steaks . you should believe it better. they were here at a few places now at a Wednesday when there are two tons of steaks and a karaffe wein for 25 pounds. they will not be disappointed. great pub straight from the a2 near teynam kent .

"We had a Sunday lunch and a mid-week evening meal at The Alma. Both were lovely. We were camping at Painter’s Farm, a 5min walk away so we’d booked to have lunch there once we’d pitched our tents on the Sunday. We found out they were having a charity quiz that evening and as it was too cold to sit outside, we decided to go back; what a hoot! Our team came last but we had such a laugh. Both the landlord and his team, as well as the locals were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The landlady is the chef; and I must say, her Thai chicken curry was delish!"

"It’s a nice pub with a good feel to the place. The staff were polite and efficient. We unfortunately had table 5 which is next to an old chimney. There was a cold breeze coming from it so we sat with our coats over our knees and pulled the table away from the metal hood which because it was overhanging the table meant that the cold air dropped onto the table surface and wafted across the top, cooling our hands and potentially our meals, had we not pulled it away. Most of the meals were tasty but the squash arancini were under-seasoned and the squash in them tasteless. A vegan apple crumble might have been good but the addition of mango put us off. It wasn’t cheap, worked out at £33 a head, with two courses being eaten and two out of 4 of us on soft drinks, but I guess the cost of living increases have hit everywhere. We’d probably go again, but wouldn’t rush back."

"this is a nice little caffe, but it is always busy, so be ready to wait for a table and for eating. Unfortunately they do not take bookings during their busiest periods, which is annoying, so waiting times for a table can be anywhere from 5 to 50 minutes. Once they have a table kitchen, it can take about half an hour. there are good vegan options on the menu, the halloumi sandwich is great, and there is a lot of cake in the offer. I'd come more often if I could book a table, but the waiting time and the uncertainties will take me out."

"On Friday night, after Phoenix landed, I had a wonderful evening at the restaurant. I started with the kidneys, which were a perfect 10/10, and I enjoyed them with some chips on the side. It was absolutely delicious. The new owner was very accommodating and spent a good amount of time chatting with us. Since I requested a Don Pedro from South Africa, the chef even came out to prepare them for us, which was a lovely touch. Many thanks for a fantastic evening—I will definitely return!"
