The Black Bulls Steakhouse

We had to walk minutes to reach the restaurant but it was worth it. The flavors are rich and the staff is sooooooo nice. They even created a small salad so that my wife doesn't feel leftout without an appetizer. It's really great

Cosy, traditional, classic style steakhouse, located close to the Palmengarten expo centre. Old school opulence, great choices for carnivores and traditional, luxury service. Starters steaks were excellent in quality and portion size, with a great wine list as a bonus. Not a budget restaurant...by any means, but a superb experience and great for special occasions

Had dinner at Black Bulls with two colleagues in a warm July evening. Despite presence of few outdoor tables we opted for an inside accommodation (quiet, clean and relaxed) and service from Michele was excellent. We had a very good medium-rare fillet with a good...Tuscan red wine and a wide selection of side courses. Price on the very high end side but great experiences. I don't know if I was scammed, but I was charged for porcini and served king oyster mushrooms. Nevertheless, if they expect the customer to accept and stay put, this will not work. Also unusual for Germany, they charge tips by default, a hefty ...one even gets politely asked if the service charge (clearly marked as tip on the printed bill) should be cash or card. A real pity as the steaks are good, but the owners far too greedy. To be avoided.

I have travelled to Frankfurt for work for years now. Only a couple of years ago did I come across the restaurant and since then it has been a regular pilgrimage spot for the best steak. The service is friendly and welcoming, the wine...and beer list complete and the steak menu without compare. Invariably perfectly cooked to personal requirement with a great selection of vegetables, I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone (except a vegetarian or vegan of course although even they may be tempted

The place is a traditional old-fashioned american steak house. Very friendly and professional staff. The food is AMAZING. The most well-cooked and tasty steak I ever had. The quality of the meat is exceptional. We were a table a four so we tasted different cuts...(fillet, rib-eye, etc Everything was more than good. Even the sides. Very tasty and well-cooked also. Finally, the dessert was OK, nothing to remember but the overall experience is for sure something that I will remember for long! I will preface this review with the notation I enjoy a great steak and endeavor to continue my search. The ambiance is very nice and the service was quite good. The food was marginal at best. Tuna was over soy sauced, veggies a bit too...much butter and the steak (fillet) really tough for the cut. I struggled to find the right salt/pepper combination to finish but failed as I realized it was the meat and not the spice. like a round-steak consistency I guess. Wine selection was good and I did not try the desert. Resturant was a on my scale due to the large portion size. Advise? Increase your prices and find better cuts of beef.

So I’m not a huge meat eater and always find steak houses overpriced and just don’t like/love it as much as others do. However when we tried The Black Bulls, I was pleasantly surprised! Their food was excellent from their soup of the day, salads,...cold/hot starters to their side dishes, steaks, huge burger for the kids and deserts! And...compared to other Frankfurt steak houses, I found this place on the “cheaper” price level! Anybody that thinks this place is expensive hasn’t been to a proper steak house in Frankfurt! Excellent value! I would highly recommend this place! I walked away having actually enjoyed my dinner so much that I’m going back again this week with more friends and family...

I didn't clock how pricey this was when checking it out online. We all had steaks and they were good quality. There didn't seem to be that much difference between my rare steak and the other medium rare ones mind, and they were served with...a bizarre barbecue sauce (on the side thankfully). Sides, fries, salad or veg all extra, and were OK, though the cottage fries (wedges) were especially good. The wine list was on the expensive side nothing until went for one of the least expensive reds and it was fine, if a bit tannic. The service was good, all very attentive. The setting was much smarter than I was expecting I guess; given the the rather down market name, I was expecting something else... Voir le carte
