Just enjoyed a really lovely high tea at Bickleigh Mill. Cakes, scones and sandwiches were all excellent. The service was very good. Will go back again soon.

Lunch with friends visiting from the Welsh mountains. As always, the food was excellent, great choice, first class service. Very dog friendly and lots of trails.

This is a wonderful location to explore. The café is charming and serves delicious cream tea and lattes. The shop offers a variety of unique and beautiful gifts, including lovely rabbits for children, necklaces, brooches for ladies, and beautiful oven gloves.

An eclectic and beautifully and painstakingly maintained mill that reminds one of generations past. A lovely gift shop, grounds to explore, and the powerful river exe just a stroll away. Peacocks in the garden, a wishing well and wonderful views. Very attentive staff serve a delicious local menu in the restaurant.

Didn’t see the ‘wait to be seated’ sign on tne counter in amongst all tne other signs, so we found a table for two with out a reserved notice on it. A lady came out and said we should have waited to be seated and you can’t sit there it’s reserved (no sign on the table! so she moved us to another table that had a reserved’ sign on it!!!! The restaurant has a beautiful setting, but is ultimately marred by very slow service. We waited for over an hour to be served tea and cake. The cake was stale, and some of the staff had a poor and rude attitude. Despite asking for table water twice, we never received it. As compensation, we were given a five pound voucher, but only if we spent over 25 pounds in the shops. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for what was supposed to be an Easter treat.

We made a reservation at this lovely bistro located at Bickleigh Mill Craft Centre. Despite the bad weather, we were welcomed warmly by the staff with big smiles and excellent service. We decided to try the special price menu, and our group ordered the pate starter which came with a generous portion of pate, side salads, and delicious toasted bread. The garlic mushrooms on salad starter was also a hit. Our main meals, including fish and chips and sausage and mash, were all ample in size and flavor. We went for a lunch, there were fourteen of us nine having a roast The food was very good however the policy of sharing veg in my experience in the hospitality business always leaves someone disappointed! There was one dish of veg at one end of the table for four people and another at other end of the table for four people! So my wife number nine in the middle of the table surrounded by people not having a roast had to put up with a few carrots no body else wanted! My wife is different to me as Farr as she does not like making a fuss! I was very angry when she told me what had happened!
