"I was part of a group of around 25 people who reserved a meal at this restaurant after a day out on the nearby Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. All the tables were set up for our arrival, and the staff quickly took our drink orders. (The first beer I received was a bit off, but was replaced promptly without any issues). Our pre-ordered main courses were served as fast as the kitchen could prepare them, with a diverse selection meaning it took a bit of time (but it was better than rushed or poorly cooked). My choice was the homemade pie of the day (beef that day) with mashed vegetables (carrots, beans, and broccoli) and it was excellent, with a satisfying portion size. For dessert, I had the sherry fruit trifle, which was equally delicious. While it wasn't cheap, the price was fair for the quality of food, nice atmosphere, and attentive staff who worked hard with us and other customers. Would I return? Absolutely, especially for a similar outing with friends and coworkers."

The meal was average in a pleasant environment. The fish and scampi were decent, but the scampi was a bit soggy. The salmon with olives was also just okay, but the salmon was served skin side down, so it lacked any crispness. Overall, I probably won't dine here again.

Sue made so welcome as always, an absolute lovely Sunday roast the best for miles around my husband had a burger and equally delicious he said. The pudding Sue to die for, thank you to all, the young man who served us and the chef who cooked. scrumptious, many thanks, Dave and Leigh

We had 2 overnight B&B stays in May en route to Cornwall and back. Sue allowed us to take our 2 cats on both occasions and they settled in very quickly. We found Sue and her staff very accommodating, the breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the food excellent. We had no hesitation at booking again for stop overs to Somerset and back in August/September our cats in tow again! Voir le carte

Having stayed a few times I was looking forward to another visit to The Bell. Not sure what has happened but it’s not a happy place and we were welcomed like lepers. Hosts ignored us and made us wait while serving locals. Definitely not a warm welcome and very poor customer service. It’s a shame as it was our go to place in the cotswolds but we will not waste another pound here after such a frosty reception. If you have a barge pole I suggest that you use it !!!

We reserved our table ahead for Sunday Lunch. Sue, the manager was helpful on the 'phone when asked re lunch service and veg. options. As well as traditional roasts, they offer a nice selection, including a sea bass beurre blanc. My sirloin beef was a quality cut, generous; not too thinly sliced, served with traditional trimmings and four tasty veg. Both meals were delicious and came well-presented. Staff are friendly in a relaxed, cosy ambience. Prices are good. We 'll definitely return!

We booked a table for 4 at fairly short notice which for a Saturday night is always a bit of a worry and we arrived to an empty car park at 7pm where was everyone? Had we made a mistake? Far from it we were made very welcome immediately and the service and food was excellent. We had two (well behaved) dogs with us who were welcome in the bar area and were pampered by the owner. I don’t understand why the pub wasn’t heaving we live local but this was our first visit. I’m confident it will become a regular. Great place thanks for a lovely evening. Voir le carte

My group decided to visit this pub for a drink while we were staying nearby. Upon entering, we noticed only two other couples enjoying their drinks. We waited at the bar to be served, but the landlady seemed to ignore us, even though we could see her in the kitchen through a window. Despite us waiting for 5-7 minutes, she did not acknowledge us at all. When we were eventually served, there was no apology or explanation for the delay. We were not happy with the service and found it to be very rude. We recommend going to The New Inn instead, as it is a much better option.

My husband and I called 7pm midweek on the spur of the moment. Overall it was very disappointing There were very few customers and we were ignored for a while. Could see nobody eating , the restaurant was empty we asked if food was being served. There were no specials of the day and a basic menu. My husband chose a burger which he said wasu ok, I chose homemade meat pie. When the food arrived it was placed at our table and we were left alone. I found my pie disappointing particularly as I was expecting a homemade pie to be better than than the average. Overall my meal was very poor, although I felt embarrassed to complain. Pie was warm rather than hot and covered in thick gravy. Needless to...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
