absolutely delicious chocolate brownie, honestly probably the best I ever had. the personal is so friendly, and the social division is so good!

If you haven't been here, you need to pop in and grab a bite to eat. Best sandwiches in town and wow, the chocolate carrot cake is to die for!!!

This place is a little gem! The food is amazing, always freshly cooked and the cakes are fabulous. All the staff are lovely and very helpful. I can't praise it enough! five stars.

Whilst the food is nice... the £5 minimum spend to pay by card is a joke. It’s 2019, making it difficult for your customers to give you their money isn’t a great business model. When there are firms like iZettle and Square out there making the cost of offering electronic payments dirt cheap, there is just no excuse for it. I won’t be returning again until Bakehouse get with the times.

The Bakehouse are an independent bakery providing a good range of breads, cakes, buns etc. The daily specials that I've tried have all been delicious and good value. You can really tell how fresh the food is. There is a great range of lunch options and The Bakehouse has so much more to offer than a standard sandwich shop. Well worth making a special trip into town for a treat lunch! The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient despite being incredibly busy

I called in for some sandwiches to take home, after a visit to town, My husband and son fancied a beef sandwich each [they serve juicy,medium rare ones], I had a turkey granary roll with cranberry chestnut stuffing. they specialise in scotch eggs [huge ones] with varied filling/coatings, me hubby shared a black pudding one, yummy!. they also had a chorizo version and the usual tasty sausagemeat, their served with salad pickle. the list of breads/ fillings/salads everything sweet is limitless, the staff are pleasant and efficient, not the cheapest, but certainly one of the best!.
