The Architect - Menu

I recommended this to friends after dining with my husband in November, thankfully it did not disappoint. Great variety of food for everyone service was good attentive.

Not good. This place is just for the people that flock into Chester after they have watched the races it’s badly managed and the staff are not helpful at all. The food is meh.

8 of us when for lunch before Christmas. There was a great atmosphere and there were 2 menus available we chose to eat off the normal menu. Service was fantastic and everyone enjoyed their meals. Lots of options for veggies too. A wonderful Christmas get together.

We wanted a small wake for my late husband the architect and its staff were outstanding. They put me and my family in the upstairs private dining room. All their staff which severed us were so kind and considerate and knew my name and wore dark clothing. They really made a difficult day very comforting. Thank you team Architect

We were a family of 6 who booked a table for a meal on New Years Eve. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious with lots of choice, the staff were amazing, friendly and professional and the entertainment brilliant, we danced and sang all night long.A wonderful venue, we will be back!Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard on New Years Eve, you certainly helped to make our evening a night to remember!

Came to the architect for our work Christmas meal this evening and wow! What a great experience. The pub already has a great reputation and it certainly lived up to it this evening. The menu was excellent and food cooked and presented fantastically. We had a vegetarian on our table and they found plenty of choice available. I have a nut allergy and couldn’t be in safer hands. The room had an open fire too! and service was top notch, attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend.

Had the advertised Christmas menu lunch today 14th Dec.. what a waste of £80. The quality of both our meals were well below what we expected. Vegetables were below standard. No sprouts, the red cabbage was undercooked, roast potatoes over roasted, and the turkey was as tough as old boots. Complained to two members of staff, but wasn't offered a reduction of the bill. So sadly I shall be unsubscribing from their mailing list..think the kitchen staff need a shake up sending a festive meal out to that standard

We had a really great meal at The Architect on Saturday 10th February. It was our second visit, and we loved it. We both had Paté and Apricot Chutney, with Toasted Bloomer to start. Absolute favourite and tasted fantastic! We do visit the Red Fox and Rake Hall, also Brunning and Price Pubs, and the Paté is consistently lovely at all three venues. My husband had Lemon Thyme Roasted Chicken, an innovative dish with chorizo lyonnaise and garlic baby courgettes, I had the ‘small’ Deep Fried Cod in Beer Batter and Chips….fresh, crispy and the chips were fab ! We each had the Small Pudding and Hot Drink Sticky Toffee Pudding, again, really lovely. and I love the matching Teapot and cups !….it may...

Booked a few months ago for a special Christmas Eve meal whilst we are away in Chester. Chose off the normal menu, waiter didn’t say anything about a Christmas set menu. He came back to ask my hubby what he had chosen as he had only written ‘steak’ down! Starters were ok delivered separately bizarrely by two people at different times, however the pasta was dry. Mains came, one burger and one slow cook pork belly, again delivered separately at different times! The burger was on a cold plate but ok. The pork belly dish was very odd, 3 types of cabbage, no potatoes and the pork was very fatty and gelatinous not crispy at all. We raised this with another member of staff who agreed it didn’t seem...
