The Indian food here is incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend visiting in the early evening when there are fewer customers.

The food is amazing, the ambience is amazing and most importantly the owners are amazing!! This restaurant will very quickly become your favourite in town. They’ll not an empty table in the restaurant that says it all really!

The food was well up to our high expectations, having eaten there before. Friends with us who have been to India said the food was more authentic than usual Indian restaurants here. The service was outstanding, especially helpful in offering to move a large table outside for us because the evening was very warm.

My main course arrived, but my partner's meal did not. After waiting, I inquired about it and was told that it was almost ready and on its way. Eventually, we were informed that they were out of the dish and asked us to choose something else. By that point, it was too late for us to make a new selection. When the bill arrived, I noticed that we were still charged for the missing main course. I requested its removal since we didn’t receive it, but the staff response was simply, "Oops, sorry, that happens sometimes." Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience.

Our server, Swati, was both friendly and humble. She recommended the restaurant’s signature dish, and we decided to try the chicken biryani, which was fantastic. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Tawa Kitchen, and we will definitely return on our next visit to Cambridge. I wish Swati and the entire team at Tawa Kitchen much success! When our drinks and meals arrived, they were simply handed to us as the server walked by, rather than being explained what each dish was. This led to some confusion as food was passed around the table, and none of us knew which dish belonged to whom. At one point, my friend received a plate and was told to be careful as it was hot. It would have been much better if the server had placed the plate directly on the table instead of handing it to him to carry around! Additionally, there was a group sitting right behind us, and their conversations made things a bit cramped and difficult. After finishing our meal, we had to be careful not to bump into their chairs as we tried to leave our table....

Tawa offers a great variety of Indian dishes that go beyond the standard fare. The menu features an equal mix of vegetarian and meat options, offering traditional flavors along with innovative twists to please different palates. From the appetizers to the main courses, each dish was beautifully presented. Our total bill came to a reasonable £120 for four, which included starters, mains, drinks, and tip. Given the quality of the food, the enjoyable ambiance, and the exceptional service, I found it to be a fair price for a memorable dining experience.
