Really good food we got of the set menu so good value but an amazing choice. Plenty of gluten free options. The best butter chicken I have ever had. Service was 1st class. Wonderful atmosphere.

Got a carry out with friends Food was Luke warm Onion bhajees disgusting and only two per portion All sauces very very watery and not a lot of meat Extortioniate price dearest ever! Will definitely not be back extremely disappointing

Me and my partner went for a friday date night and enjoyed the lovely relaxing atmosphere, amazing cocktails and fantastic food. Staff were all really friendly and made us feel very welcome, especially our server Viveik. Will definitely be visiting again soon Voir le carte

Went here with a friend just to try something different from the usual American diner fare and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere was perfect, the service was great and the food excellent. We will definitely be back and as often as possible. Highly recommended.

Had booked a table for 6.30. When we arrived at 6.20 we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait but people in the queue had booked for 6 and still not been seated. People were queued in the restaurant and right up against tables, terrible during the current pandemic

We've been going to tale of spice for a couple of years. We've always really liked it. More recently, we've found their chutneys are being watered down (presumably to save money). I personally find it a bit sickening when given papadoms and a thin coloured watery consistency chutney. This has been the primary reason we've stopped coming here. Voir le carte

Called in unexpectedly as the other eateries around the cinema all closed at 8.30 pm and Tale of Spice opens until 10.30 on a Saturday. We received a very friendly and genuine greeting and first impressions were good ones. We had chicken tikka biryani and buttered chicken that were both fabulous I cook a lot and so was very pleased that the sauces were all made freshly and the meats were cooked to perfection. The added touch of fresh herbs and the rice too was delicately spiced and delicious as was the light nan bread also beautifully presented. We’d highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

First of all falsely advertised pricing online very expensive waiter couldn’t understand me and kept giving us wrong orders one waiter shrugging her shoulders and eyes when I said I was given wrong curry also gave me spicy masala and tries to say it was butter chicken and it comes spicy which I know it is not drinks where super slow and not asked once was everything ok 130 pounds later and very disappointed food was left on plates and wasn’t tasty at all not be back and won’t recommend also when ordered drinks forgot and had to re ask and they gave my 11 year old a cocktail and told me was coke when I asked again where is my cocktail she said she told me was that when I asked her twice what...

Visited here as a family after looking at the menu online and the early bird offer of two courses for £16.95 seemed reasonable. This was during the “eat out to help out scheme” but when we arrived the only menu offered to us was a set choice of two courses for £22. We asked for an alternative menu but were informed this was the only one available. We had waited a while to get a table so decided to stay, plus the other establishments around the area all had long queues. The food was superb, service a little slow but it was quite busy at the time. We also heard various customers around us querying the £22 set menu.
