Sunny Take Away - Menu

We have ordered many things from the menu over the years, and although chicken chow mein, chips gravy remains my favourite, whatever we have is always hot and delicious. The staff on the desk are polite and multi-task on a new level. Order from here and you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic Chinese, best takeaway we’ve had for years. Had a selection of dishes including crispy duck, hot and sour soup, Kung po chicken, crispy beef, sweet and sour pork balls, ribs, prawn curry, various rice and noodles and every dish was absolutely superb would definitely recommend.

Truly awful food. If you have expectations for anything nice or anything resembling Chinese food, you should really try elsewhere. Not many options in Holt for Chinese so I’d suggest you go for fish and chips Eric’s is brilliant) or the Indian not brilliant but a darn sight nicer than Sunny Chinese.

We were staying at the nearby Wood Farm Barns and found this to be the only local Chinese in the area! It's a good job the food is good then. We ordered on a Friday evening and collected 15 minutes later. Everything we had exceeded our expectations and it was a very enjoyable meal. Prices are very good too.

Used to regularly use Sunny as our local takeaway. The quality of food has subsided significantly over the last year. Three times our order has been missing items. It’s a 15 minute ride back so just going back to collect the missing items isn’t ideal. Such a shame as it’s been running for a long time in the town.

Our second visit to Holt and the Sunny Chinese is a must (also because it's the only Chinese in the village! The food is good, and it does get busy at weekends. They could do with an extra member of staff front of house as the sole lady had to juggle between phone and physical customers. We enjoyed our food and the meat portions are generous.

We ordered by phone before collecting, was very had to order as the girl on the phone spoke so quickly and I felt I was rushed into giving my order, I was just about to be cut off when I had to stop her to ask if they were taking cash, she said order would be 20-30 minutes, I wanted to collect in 45 minutes so said I would be there at 6 pm, I don't think she heard me so we decided to go down earlier as thought the food would be sitting around getting cold, on arrival the staff were friendly and when I gave my name, lo and behold my order was sitting in the bag behind her on the shelf so would have been cold had we waited, food was hot and tasty though, except my king prawns with vegetables w...

Menu looked interesting with many choices. Called in our order and got a 75min wait (ok, it was Saturday). Walked down to collect and waited 10mins. Strange to see a sign saying that they had walk in Customers, so orders might be delayed. I though as I had ordered it might be ready. Walked back to find one dish we had not ordered and one missing. Called up and was told they would replace. Walked down again and when I got there it was clear nothing had been done, place full of waiting customers and I then had too wait my turn while they cooked the missing dish (which I had to pay for as it was not on the original order despite me ordering over the phone. I attempted to call this establishment over 100 times, when i did manage to get through the first time nobody was actually on the phone.. then the second time i managed to get through i was told that their system had gone down and that we should come down to order in person instead. So i drove down, queued for 15 minutes because everybody else had presumeably been told the same. I finally place an order with them at 18:25 then i go outside and wait the 25 minutes i was told to wait and seemingly no order.. being understanding i waited further with the many other outside.. 25 minutes turned into an hour and a half wait.
