"I was told a lot of good things about this restaurant, I went there with my family and my first thought of the restaurant was not good, the menu looked more like a flyer and not professional at all, after ordering our drinks the waitress said she will be back with our drinks and to take order for the food, after a few minutes she returned to take the food order but with no drinks, we did our order and still had to wait a few more minutes for our drinks, our starters did arrive fairly early and that was the only highlight of the restaurant, after finishing the starter we had to wait over half an hour for our main course, I had ordered a bacon and cheese burger served with chips and salad, the burger was too over cooked and was not enjoyable, after the main corse we ordered dessert and again had a long wait for our desert, I had a chocolate fudge cake what was their special desert for the evening, the cake was served with ice cream and was very dry I had to borrow some cream from someone else's desert to be able to eat it, I was not happy with my visit to the star inn and probably would not chose to return."

We went for Sunday lunch, not the most posh romantic place to dine, but cheap, good food that is served with a smile. Can be crowded as coaches come to visit at times.

Great place to visit near Norman's Bay. I visited on a birthday a while ago. We ordered drinks, which were definitely up to scratch. We could see kids having fun in the beer garden play area, great to see. I would recommend The Star Inn to anyone looking for a relaxed environment at a pub. Excellent service, I shall visit again.

Came here as was just pasting throw the area. The building its self old and vintage looking. Had me three course meal with my wife and it didn't disappoint. Well cooked food I must say and not to long of wait which was even better. The price tho was amazing the value compared to what you get is not disappointing. Recommended anyone on a budget and wanted to eat out. Will be returning!

Had not been to this restaurant for quite some time, previously it was adequate but slightly lacking overall. However this time was a different story, it has been acquired by another well thought of local concern and the general improvement is noticeable . We were a fairly sizeable party of 14 people with an age range between 1 year and 75, the attitude and helpfulness of the staff was superb and coped with all our needs and requirements cheerfully.
