"Apparently i cant give zero dots, or i would. Food was bland and tasteless. Chicken tikka had no flavour to it at all. Chicken tikka dopiaza is supposed to be creamy, it was like water. Naan bread was undercooked and raw in the middle. As for service, the chap was rude in his manners, snatching plates away before we were finished as a family. Felt very unwelcoming and like we were a n inconvenience. I also noted that whilst he was taking someone else's order, he stopped to answer the phone. Clearly, take aways are far more important than the people sat in front of him. My advice ? Go to Beccles, or Harleston, Norwich, or Lowestoft, anywhere but this place !!!"

Had a long trip wanted some food. The man got food out of the freezer and in less than ten minutes all four dishes were cooked

Despite being very popular, they were able to accommodate us at the last minute. The staff was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the food.

The restaurant offers great food in a charming, traditional curry house setting! It's a hidden gem in a quaint market town in Suffolk. I would highly recommend it for a casual meal with excellent and welcoming service.

Absolutely delicious every time Been ordering for a while now for delivery to Geldeston. Always on time, hot and really tasty. Personal highlight have been the chicken tikka bhuna and also the patia! Really good value also.

We ordered from here because the Harleston Indian was closed. The food was quite tasty but not outstanding. Naans were very rubbery, not at all freshly made, probably a result of overlong storage in their bags. The best thing was the very reasonable price.

I don't usually eat out or order takeout very often, but I must say that every time I have had food from Spice of Balti, it has been excellent! I have never had a bad meal from there. The food is delicious, and the new updated website is great. Keep up the good work!

Ordered a home delivery for a Friday night treat. Haven’t tried them before but was keen to support local restaurant. Food was terrible, dips watered down, korma and curry sauce meal both consistency of gravy and inedible and yogurt curdled. Called restaurant to politely discuss with manager and had phone put down on me.

We ordered from here a couple of nights ago as we fancied a curry for our evening meal, I had the chicken curry with boiled rice and my hubby had the chicken tikka masala with boiled rice. I also had the garlic naan and we shared some poppadoms and chutney. We really enjoyed our meal but thought it could have been a bit hotter as it was just warm and we only live a couple of minutes from the shop but had it delivered. One thing to note is if you order it online from their website and have it delivered they only accept cash .

"Having been a regular customer for over a decade to The Bell Inn, I was left very underwhelmed this time. Room was lovely and clean as usual, Tom on reception was fab. We chose to dine in the restaurant as normal and booked for 730pm so we had a nice long evening to enjoy eating and drinking. The menu is now very limited compared to previous years, we chose to have 4 starters to share and some rose wine with bread to start. Slight delay on bread, which came crammed on a small plate, which we had to ask for side plates after waiting for the waitress to reappear…the oil and balsamic was awful, there was so much oil chucked in the ramekin we had to ask for another, to pour some off to try and get to the vinegar. Food came out, and was put on table, again had to ask for side plates as we were sharing and still had bread on the other ones. No drinks check. Had to wait at bar to order more. Food was mediocre at best, we both have very good appetites especially after the harbour walk and some wine! but both ended up just picking at it. Ended up going to room with our wine very early, the only other table in the restaurant that was occupied had some sort of problem ordering due to “fryers being turned off” and got sandwiches and chips instead! Slept well as usual. Went for a quick dog walk before breakfast and narrowly avoided being hit by the chef arriving at 845am in the car park. Arrived on time for breakfast at 9am, lovely, lovely waitress served us, ordered full English and pot of tea, partner the same with coffee. Took a sip of the tea and it was barely lukewarm… spoke to waitress who was very apologetic and bought me a fresh one, turns out the rest of the room all had the same problem with tea and coffee as the urn hadn’t been turned on in time see chef comment food came out and was delicious and hot, and top quality as usual, we cleared our plates! Room was spotlessly clean, and the Tyneham hand wash/cream is so good! Overall disappointing as I know how good this place can be, and the first time I’ve ever encountered any problems. As stated before it was not busy in the slightest compared to previous years, so no excuse really. I will return as The Bell holds dear memories for me, I hope next year it will have ironed out these problems and be back to full glory!"
