Souk Kitchen, Southville

Great Mezze, inspired dishes and flavours in decent settings. We had the halloumi, the broad bean salad, the heritage tomatoes and the chargrilled corn. All delicious. Tables outside have a decent view of the hills. Would come here again

souk kitchen found when they eat after a bite before the bear rugby game today. Although we didn't book, we were offered a table outside. we shared the butternut quash, pigeons, chicken kebab and chicken legs. everything was fabulous and extreme. we will definitely take part again, sometime soon!

I do not often feel the need to leave reviews, but the standard of food served in the souk kitchen is so high that we felt that we cannot keep it for us. that was, quite simply, the best we have eaten in the last ten years...years incredibly authentic taste, beautifully presented and served quickly. can not recommend very enough. Thank you.

unsafe what to expect after we look at the last travel advisers reviews, but natalie has looked after us from beginning to end, offers us rehearsals of wein to choose how we were uncertain, their friendly personality and attentiveness made a great difference to the entire experience...from what makes a great night and by the way, eating was fantastic.

for years I have lived in bristol and only once have I managed to give my dad a meal he found acceptable. irritatingly difficult to please, he looked at the smorgasbord of color and joy as if it were his last meal. can not recommend, very...many and her level of consistency (mine and my friend visit) is nothing less refreshing amazing. good work, scenic

I booked a table for my wife and I and arrived with high expectations. These were quickly dashed when we were directed to a shelf in the window. When I pointed out that I had in fact booked a table and not a shelf, the...caring response was: ‘No one else has complained’. What I’ve learned from this experience is that a shelf is not a shelf when someone calls it a table and good customer service and care doesn’t always accompany good food.

Stopped by for lunch. Was a little concerned as no one else eating. Really didn’t need to be this place is outstanding. Tapas style, all dishes come as small sharing plates. Intriguing flavours some familiar to any ottolenghi fans. Every dish was a...winner but standout was the roast cauliflower with muhammara. Delicious. Service was excellent and all very reasonably priced. Note the portions were very generous. Four dishes and a flatbread was plenty for two of us.

First thing: they mistook the time of my booking, and we waited to be sorted. The waiters smile but are unattentive, leaving the plates of food anywhere except in front of the customer. I believe they are overwhelmed. The food looked good, but there was...half an hour wait from one meze that contained houmus and vegetables a snack- and a plate with cauliflower with paprika on top. My pepper with lamb had the skin on which should have been peeled when the long pepper was hot, so I could not finish it. In the past, the the restaurant served good mains, but now I am not sure what is the menu about—a real shame.

This was the third time we've been to Souk Kitchen but the first after Covid etc. Obviously been a tough time for the sector and not expecting things to be quite the same. Nonetheless the experience and even food has changed a lot. The menu...was heavily cut down compared to before and probably a third more expensive. Generally the food quality was fine with the exception of the calamari which was over cooked batter with the hint of rubbery shellfish in the centre. I nearly sent it back. To be honest we left lighter but still feeling like we could have eaten more. This just simply wasn't the case beforehand with Souk Kitchen a reliable good feed.
