"When walking into the pub you get a feel of a traditional pub, a great welcome and service from the bar staff. We ordered food, my first choice was the sea food platter, this was not available, then I decided on the halloumi fries, this was not available then I ordered the vegan mushroom and spinach lasagna. I was then told that the chef hadn’t prepared it and couldn’t guarantee it was vegan a very strange statement. I said thus wouldn’t be an issue as I’m not actually vegan. The lasagna arrived looking just as you’d expect. However, it turned out to be a plate of grilled cheddar with spinach, a few slices of mushrooms and one small 4”x4” sheet of pasta. It was not what I expected and it gave me awful indigestion. To be fair the two people with me enjoyed their food and were happy with what they were given gammon and ham and eggs. I would eat here again but I would not go vegan."
