Food used to be good not anymore. I just had the worst chips I ever tried. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

Shillingfords lives up to their reputation for quality. You have to wait, of course, for freshly cooked food but it's certainly worth it.

The food always makes me sick, most of the time the food is overcooked and dry and the portions sizes are really small. My mum ordered online and had a few things missing

Had food delivered tonight first time my partner has tried food from here and he loved it said best chips he's ever tasted and are it all normally he don't eat many chips will definitely be ordering from here again thank you

Haven’t ordered from here in a few months and typically the food was very good. Today I placed an order on delivery and the fish that was delivered was very small in size even though I paid £6 for it. My fish and my girlfriend’s fish were both very dark in colour and the inside of mine was incredibly dry. Will not be coming back again unfortunately. Voir le carte

Unfortunately unaware of the quality decline as previous reviewers have mentioned. As a first time customer making a large order I looked forward to supporting a quality local takeout, but I was shocked to receive such darkened sweet potato fries and batter, as though the oil was reused too many times which I am sure the fish chips awards bodies would sadly no longer give such high ratings to if reassessed. The chips and pies tasted as though they’d sat around in the warmer, and at least a third of the potatoes used has black spots or had a green tinge. I've just been in. I am disabled. I suffer chronic pain. My child is disabled. All we wanted was an ice cream. We arrived in the shop, got our ice cream and were made to wait whilst I could feel it melting in my hands and the two women who came in after us were served first and had a long hot food order. All we wanted was a single ice cream. My disabled child started to get agitated and was pulling on my hand. The pain was too severe so I told the cashier I was disappointed she couldn't have just let me tap for the £6 ice cream and I'm leaving. Really disappointed to change this review but I placed an order online for delivery like I normally have and normally get delivery within 45min to 1 hour after, but tonight 2 hours lapsed and still nothing turned up, I tried to call the shop but no one answered after multiple calls so I decided to visit the shop and the lady behind the counter went to look for the bag with the receipt to find it at the bottom of the pile and was very helpful, I was happy to take the food there as its always tasty and hot but just out the blue Rees (not the owner) working behind the fryer asked the lady what 's wrong, she said the order was over 2 hours old and he quite abruptly said oh well shrugging his sho...
