"First time we have visited this restaurant. Such a beautiful location on the cliff overlooking the bay of Swanage at Durlston Country park. Lunchtime very busy they do not take bookings so only just got a table outside. Were warned they were short staffed so...service might be slow but the young staff were very efficient and friendly and didn't have to wait long for our delicious fish and chips. They do a small portion which was sufficient for us ladies. Good value at Cakes looked lovely but were full. Added bonus was the Cathy Veale painting exhibition in the gallery below the restaurant with beautiful paintings of the Dorset seaside. Will definitely visit again and can recommend this restaurant."

Over a soup you may ask, and I would reply, Yes, over a soup I would give a review like this. But this was no ordinary soup. No, it was so special it had to go on the Specials' board! Carrot, Squash, Coconut, and...Ginger. Perfect.

Lovely food fresh and natural ingredients- lovely triple cooked chips. Very friendly service and very polite staff! The winter salad was lovely and cafe has a lovely ambience. We will definately return during this week before we head back to London from Swanage.

We have been here a number of times with both friends and family and have always had really good food. The staff are always polite and helpful. If the weather is good definitely sit outside and enjoy the view, I would suggest booking a table...though as everyone wants to sit outside. Check the specials board too.

We had dinner at Seventh Wave on Saturday night. We had a wonderful time. The views are stunning. Food was absolutely delicious and service was fantastic! Jodie looked after us very well and made sure our evening was really special. I would highly recommend a...visit here and we will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area!

Four of us enjoyed excellent meals at the Seventh Wave in Durlston. Three superb fish and chip meals and one very good beef burger. We were extremely well looked after by a delightful waitress (who had only just started working there). The combination of good...food, a most helpful waitress and stunning views made this a memorable occasion. Thank you.

Came looking for a cafe-type establishment for lunch rather than a full meal. However the soup was excellent and the childrens' burger and chips (whilst a little on dear side) was excellently presented. There were generous portions of chips. The Mocha and cappuccino went down...well. If coming back again will budget for a full meal as the menu looked good

Lunch here today....really lovely. Fish delicious, not dry at all. Sign of a really good chef. Very tasty chips, crisp on the outside, fluffy inside. Alcoholic drinks available. Excellent service, happy staff. Good thing I'd booked a table...very busy. Fabulous views out to sea...overlooking Durlston...and Swanage Bay, with Old Harry in the distance one way, and the Isle of Wight the other. Would highly recommend. Thank you all x

A fantastic family Christmas Eve breakfast was had at Seventh Wave! We had decided to do all our veg chopping early reward ourselves with brunch and it really was delicious. I had booked in advance as there were seven of us and Emily kindly...reserved us a table complete with Christmas crackers. Have eaten here before the food service is always good they are particularly good at offering a wide selection of vegetarian options sourcing local produce.

New Years Day and I put a pin in the Tripsdvisor map and came up with Swanage. We were very pleasantly surprised at the Seventh Wave cafe. The staff are very friendly, convivial and only too willing to help with anything yes anything. When...my wife had the last vegan option, our waitress got the chef to knock up a main course for the lady o n the next table who had also wanted it. The food is excellent for the prices charged, and it is delivered promptly, with a smile, visible, even with a mask on. The setting is great too, with views of the white cliffs and the Isle of Wight. Cant wait to go back.

"We had the best time here on Saturday lunch. We arrived early to a quiet restaurant and were greeted by super friendly and well informed staff, who made us feel at ease and explained their new ‘small plates’ menu. Our kids were given a nice menu with colouring in and nothing seemed too much to ask for. We decided to let our 4 and 6 year old order from their kids menu and hoped they would try some of our dishes too. The menu really is very appealing, so much so that the 3 adults ended up ordering EVERY dish they had on the menu in the end! I think it was 16 various dishes of meats, fish, veggies and pasta’s. All homemade and with a really modern vibe. Our waitress was soo good at making us feel at ease we had the best time. A few dishes were ordered and came out really fast we were overjoyed at how beautiful they looked, and the flavours we so well balanced and punchy we got really giddy and decided to order all of the other dishes and just share them all out. Have to say each dish was a triumph, my favourite was the pork ‘burnt ends’ with sweet and sour carrots and a mustard sauce, my partners was the pointed cabbage dish with sesame, my mothers the beetroot and goats cheese crispy ball. They all were delicious, and our kids tried loads of new things like a crab pasta and a cheesey focaccia. It seems like they really thought these little dishes out soo well, temperatures, textures, colours, flavours, elegance we’ve not had anything like this outside of London. So, 16 plates in, plus the kids had their main course… we were all full up, felt like we’d been on a culinary adventure. And then we were offered something sweet okay maybe we were just being greedy, maybe we just couldn’t resist not trying more?! The kids had a ‘build your own dessert’ of ice cream and sauces and sprinkles and cake bits looked great but sadly only for kids! We had their ‘sweet things’, kind of like large petit fours. Chocolatey cake balls, salted caramel truffles and tart passion fruit jellies all were amazing! By the time we left, the restaurant was really busy and I can see why we will most certainly be coming again! Thank you!"
