First time in this pub won't be the last, very clean lovely decor, delicious roast and reasonable, staff really friendl, looking forward to going again.

We both had an excellent Sunday roast. The meats were nice (the chicken was our favourite), the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the vegetables were good quality and cooked to perfection. The staff were all really friendly and attentive. Great reasonably priced roast.

We recently held a music quiz at Sekforde in their basement. The atmosphere was fantastic, with quirky and cozy decor. The food, especially the chips, was delicious and the staff were outstanding. I booked the beautiful upstairs room of this pub for an office Christmas dinner. Despite a colossal booking error on the pub's part, the owner and staff made it right on the rescheduled night. The food was top-notch, and served in ample quantity. The service was well-paced and friendly. The overall vibe was welcoming and warm. We will be back!

This is a lovely pub which reopened recently after extensive refurbishment and under new management. It is a very cool building. At present, on Mondays and Tuesdays the food is half price. It's haute cuisine and normally good value which makes half price very good value indeed. Areas for improvement: could be a bit cosier in the bar area on the ground floor, and they need a website!

To this lovely refurbished bar in Seckford Street to meet friends. Very pretty old fashioned bar with lots of wood and natural light. Perfect place for an early evening drink in late sunshine in the summer, and a cosy open fire in the winter. Lovely: And upstairs they have a beautiful room that can be hired for events, the ceiling painted like the sky, lots of sash windows and light flooding in. A lovely venue for a talk or a drinks party. There’s a restaurant too, tucked away downstairs, though I didn’t eat there this time. They do good barfood upstairs according to my husband! but it’s worth ringing to ask about the restaurant too, as it’s a lovely space in a perfect location. Voir le carte

I recently visited The Sekforde for Sunday roast with the owner, who happens to be an old friend of mine, and had a wonderful afternoon. The atmosphere at The Sekforde is truly delightful, with friendly staff, a beautifully restored Georgian interior, and fresh flowers adding to the charm. The absence of loud music and flashing lights allows for a peaceful dining experience, with delicious food and wine being the focus. Popped into the Sekforde for Sunday lunch with friends. Beautiful pub refurbished in a traditional style, tucked away on a side street in the heart of Islington- a real hidden gem! The staff were courteous and attentive and told us all about their extensive wine and a beer list. The pub boasts an impressive selection of beers, really supporting local breweries. Would recommend the Islington steam lager- a great pint to unwind over with friends on a Sunday evening. I previously reviewed this establishment a few months ago, but I felt the need to do so again as my experience was even better this time around. While my previous visit was good, today's roast was exceptional. The potatoes were crispy and fresh, and I always enjoy the vegetables that accompany the roast. The lamb shank was incredibly tender, though I felt it could have used a bit more flavoring such as rosemary and garlic infused into the meat. Despite that, it was still a great meal. My companions had the chicken and pork dishes and found them thoroughly enjoyable.
