Especially at the carnival time (or even at Christmas) there is a lot of going on in hints and in most restaurants you have to get really luck without booking; this applies both at lunchtime and in the evening. Individuals or couples may have luck; Groups are odd. We ate the peasant vesper plate at the peasant stable of the Schwarzwaldhof in the afternoon; as they already know and at the price of just EUR 7.00, this plate is already almost unbeatable. Two slices of coarse liver and bloodworm, each two slices of swarms, bacon and black forests of hamspeck, onion rings, cucumbers and dark peasant bread. Tastes really very good and is saturating until evening when you brush the plate completely. Here the price/performance ratio is really very harmonious; for all dishes, especially from the lunch or evening ticket, this does not apply in the Schwarzwaldhof. And for me a little manko on the edge: there is no red house but Fürstenberg! The ambience in the peasant stüble is extremely rustic and somewhat antiqued in the other restaurant rooms. The rooms are okay; above all we liked the tower room with skybed very well! Our serviceman in the Stüble was, first of all, talkable, and straight to a Lexicon on two legs; for hours, I wouldn't have carried him, good friend back or back!"

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Auffallend war die sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung. Man merkt, das hier grossen Wert darauf gelegt wird.

Quick and polite service at this traditional family hotel restaurant. The fish was excellent. Cooked to perfection. Spaghetti bolognaise, my daughter ordered was ok and not more. Side salads very good!

Im Sommer ist der gesamte Ort gut besucht und es ist nicht einfach, einen Tisch am Abend zu erhalten. Ohne Reservierung ist es besonders schwierig. Im Schwarzwaldhof fand sich noch ein Platz für uns. Das Essen ist typisch badisch und die Karte bietet viel Auswahl. Aufgrund der enorm hohen Qualität der Restaurants in Hinterzarten findet sich fast überall ein schönes Abendessen.

Extravagante Gourmetkreationen findet man hier auf der Speisekarte nicht, aber eine schöne Auswahl bodenständig regionaler Gerichte, die man immer wieder gern genießt. Zunächst zu den positiven Aspekten:- Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien - solides Essen- angemessene Preise- Portionsgrösse auch für Leute mit gutem Appetit geeignetNegativ:- lange Wartezeiten beim Service- Steht der Schweinskrustenbraten auf der Karte, dann erwartet man als Gast einen Braten mit einer Kruste. Wenn die nicht gelungen ist, was passieren kann, dann kann man den Gast zumindest informieren oder ihm eine Alternative anbieten.
