"That is actually the name of the restaurant, not just me seeking salvation in noodles although it's something I'm likely to do. Good Vietnamese food is hard to come by in London, so when Angela asked if I was up for trying SIN, I was more than eager. The only slight downside (for me my location) is that it's in Dalston, an area I'd never ventured into before, because it just feels that little bit too far away... but will travel for food, and all that. It's a bus ride away from a couple of tube stations, so it's not too bad (and if you live East, it's really not a trek at all, but I live on the other side of the city), but something to keep in mind. Geographical logistics aside, I had a great evening of food and chatting with Angela, her boyfriend and his friend. It's a cosy little place which is clearly popular, with friendly staff and a no fuss vibe that I think suits Vietnamese cuisine. With four of us hungry and ready to dig in, we ordered a selection of sharing plates: summer rolls, spring rolls, lamp chops and chicken wings. Although everything was delicious, the meat stood out for me the chicken wings were so moreish with that sweet and salty flavour everyone loves, and the lamp was excellent too. Perfect little plates to open up our appetite! Thankfully our appetites were still going strong when the noodles arrived, because those bowls are massive. You know those bowls that seem never ending, no matter how much you think you've eaten? I went for the Bun Rieu, which is Vietnamese crab noodle soup with pork belly prawns, which comes with these crab meat balls that take the dish up a notch. It was incredibly fresh but pretty spicy, so I'd stay away from it if you're not a spice fan I really enjoyed it myself. They also have other noodles, such as the classic Pho and also noodle salads, if you're not keen on soups. I'm kind of hoping that they open a branch somewhere central at some point, although that would mean we'd probably have to fight for a table... in the meantime though, I'd definitely recommend it for those who want to quench their Vietnamese noodle craving and not be disappointed. Up next on my Vietnamese food trail is Cafe East, which I've heard rave reviews of. If you have any other suggestions, let me know!"

SIN has a rather small menu and is focusing on the regional noodle dishes that is still a pretty new territory in the London dining scene.

Vietnamese noodles is not really for me. But the fried chicken was perfect! I'll have the noodle salad next time i go there. Cool staff too.

I am a sucker for Asian suppening with noodles, so my expectations were super high. the ones I came through the take met the right place, but needed a little more spicy and hot. the homemade pasta dish was pleasant and with beautiful aromas.

I have been from salvation in noodles (aka sin) since her owner colin and I started exchanging Instagram messages and sticking to soft ice creams through our obsession. I finally had to try the new rettung in nudeln in the finsbury park and was very impressed! her wings are the best I have ever tried and the food was very tasty and the place relaxed and cute. best Vietnamese in london! Surprised how much I enjoyed this place. I love a bowl of noodle soup and this was good noodle soup. That wasn't the best bit though, it was the starters that stood out for me. The massive rice cracker was delicious and the pork and mushroom spring rolls were simply Devine. Worth going back for alone. Washed down with a coconut juice and for a decent price this is a place I'll definitely head back to.

Skeptical of any new Vietnamese restaurant opening around the corner (because it seems like lately there's literally a new Vietnamese restaurant opening on every corner and Salvation in Noodles is well, around the corner from us), we opted to try SIN because a) a friend recommended it to us and b) it was on the right bus route for the B&Q we needed to go to. Glamorous, we are. The restaurant was thankfully not too busy on a Saturday afternoon, though I can imagine it'd be a struggle trying to find a seat on week nights if you haven't booked in advance. The interiors are all chic, minimalist and reclaimed furniture: exposed brick and filament light bulbs you get the picture. Husband ordered t...

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
