fish was like rubber, reheated microwaved or something? really nice the weekend before so went back on tuesday evening, big mistake.

Best chippy chips ever. Crispy, no grade. Fish perfectly cooked. Proper mushy peas. Flawless. Live miles away but periodically take my parents. Never disappointed.

Hot and fresh, delicious fish chips! Nothing better to sit on the wall on a lovely summer's day and take in the fresh air and ambience of this beautiful village. Overlooking some gorgeous views as well. A real treat. Voir le carte

Had heard about Parkgate fish and chip shop, so thought we would give it a go. Fish was NOT cod it was round and flat and tasted awful, chips to be fair were quite nice but at nearly £9 not good value for money. Sausage and Chips £5. I Will not be returning.

Called in a couple of times during lockdown, just for a change of scenery and freshly cooked food. Great fish and chips served through a hatch due to covid restrictions. Like many people out for a walk we sat on the wall outside looking over to Wales, an amazing view and enjoyed our chips. Well worth a drive out.

I used to love this place, but I was really disappointed tonight. What happened to the chips? They looked overcooked and greasy. The fish was delicious, as were the peas and gravy. I always enjoyed their crispy chips. The staff is still friendly, but with some new faces. I probably won't be rushing back, as I had previously rated this place as number 1. Voir le carte

There is something quintessentially English about walking along the fore shore on a dull mid winter day, and then scoffing frehly cooked fish n chips.Mother Nature provided the setting, and the Parkgate Chippy delivered on the food.Lovely cod, great chips, hardly any excess fat and all freshly prepared. I'm curious to know if anyone else is aware of a better fish and chips place in the area. I couldn't find any fault with the fish and chips here. The service was quick and well-organized, despite there being a queue. I believe that if they weren't as efficient, the wait would have been longer. I would prefer to have Fentimans Dandelion and Burdock instead of Ben Shaws. I would be willing to pay extra because your fish and chips are worth it.

Recommended by friends and not disappointed. We ordered two orders of fish and chips. The portion sizes were just okay and a little on the expensive side, so we may not come back regularly, but based on cost rather than quality. One bonus was that we were able to pay by card. Due to Covid, the food was served from behind a screen and there was no indoor seating, which took away from the typical chip shop experience. Still, overall, I recommend going and enjoying the meal.
