"The excellent partridge. Figs in oil are a pleasant discovery. We will definitely be back, a very friendly place with abundant but really good dishes (chestnut amberjack with mushrooms, lots of stuff). Attentive, punctual and very kind service. We felt at home, congratulations."

"We had been recommended this place (amongst others) by the owner of the apartment we were renting locally. The setting is beautiful and relaxed. You eat outside on a terrace (covered or open completely to the elements) amongst the olive trees. Our teenage kids wandered...off to explore after ordering and were found chilling in a hammock slung between the trees. There are fairy lights and lots of lanterns everywhere that add to the magical atmosphere of the place. Don't go though if you get irritated by kids eating in restaurants. There were many Italian families eating here with their young kids and lots of children running around amongst the trees. But, whereas anywhere else I might find this annoying, in this setting, it was charming! Our waitress could not speak a word of English but was absolutely delightful patient and attentive. The food was of a very good standard. All local, traditional dishes, but not a huge choice for vegetarians. Wine was excellent too. This is not a cheap night out. We paid over 200 Euros for four, although we all had three courses plus wine. But it was well worth it for a special night and is considered by the whole family as one of the highlights of our Tuscany holiday."

"Se volete assaporare una mangiata di carne alla migliore maniera toscana nella cornice di un borgo poetico e meraviglioso, questo è un buon posto! Il tagliere toscano è fantastico e abbondante, con salumi e preparazioni fatte da loro con arte e amore. Il sangiovese della casa è ottimo. Ampia scelta di vini a km 0. Ho gradito molto l’amaro toscano e il tocco di stile del caffè versato direttamente dalla moka"

"We went in and have been told there are no tables but they can do take away pizza. As I’m gluten and lactose intolerant I have asked if they can serve me. They showed me the gluten free pizza list, and for the lactose free pizza they said ‘si, si’ they can make it, just chose from the list. I want to mention I have asked two waiters, one that greeted us and one who took the orders. So we have ordered and waited for about half an hour, and happy to receive my pizza we went to our accommodation to eat. When I opened the box, wasn’t sure if it’s a joke or what.... but I had a dry pizza base, without cheese on it(so this is what lactose free cheese means to them) and some dry tomato, onion and burnt salami on it. I decided to go back and complain. The waiter was a bit shocked by my complain, and said that yes, this is the lactose free pizza, without cheese on it. On many occasions I’ve been told by restaurants that they don’t have gluten or lactose free options, and that was fine. Quite often they say that they can swap and add something else to it. But never been told that I can have it and they just leave it out basically one of the main parts of the pizza. Finally the waiter gave the money back (and, yes I was charged the same amount for this dry pizza without cheese) but I remained hungry as by the time we finished, most restaurants where about to close, and my husband had to eat a cold pizza. Really poor service and it felt that they are just interested in making profit by taking as many orders as possible but do not care about how customers feel. Would not recommend!!!"

"In realtà, avendo soggiornato in loco, siamo stati qui più volte nel corso della nostra vacanza! Sia per colazione che per pranzo, ma anche per un aperitivo! Ci siamo trovati sempre molto bene! Il locale si trova proprio sulla soglia d'ingresso per il borgo antico e quindi è meta di molti turisti, sia italiani che non, come noi! L'esterno, devo dire, si armonizza molto bene con il borgo, nonostante sia moderno e ben definito, non stona! L'interno devo dire che invece, nonostante sia pulitissimo e ben tenuto, l'ho trovato un po' freddo e smorto in alcuni punti, ma tutto sommato è molto carino! Il tutto si risolleva comunque quando arriva in tavola il cibo!! Si mangia davvero davvero bene! Durante il primo pranzo ho assaggiato il risotto allo zafferano con la tartare di gamberi ed era veramente ottimo! Gamberi freschissimi! Più un panino con prosciutto toscano e pecorino davvero fenomenali! Poi durante il secondo pranzo abbiamo assaggiato sua maestà la fiorentina! 800 g di pura bontà a media cottura! Bellissima carne, sapore favoloso, servita con già delle verdure di contorno alla griglia, che potete scegliere voi in base alle vostre preferenze! Sia i gestori che i camerieri sono veramente simpaticissimi e delle persone davvero di cuore! Abbiamo fatto amicizia subito! Il servizio a volte può essere però un po' lento, ma è ben sopperito dal fatto che poi le pietanze sono davvero ottime!!"
