Great local village pub with , friendly service and good food. Well kept ales and reasonable wines. Open fires add to the atmosphere. Dogs welcome.

Arrived at 8.30pm looking for something to eat. Barman snatched the menu from my hands and declared that food orders were closed. No regrets. No attempt to squeeze one more in. Customer service? I don't think so.

Pie was 10 out of 10. But the chips were hard and crispy. The swirly sausage was just okay. Mash had lumps in it. Gravy was a little gloopy. Price for 1 starter, 2 meals and 2 soft drinks =43 pounds. Quite Expensive. Voir le carte

Came here today on the way to LEGOLAND stopped here for roast dinner. Was absolutely lovely pub with amazing food and very friendly staff. Roast was spot on and the steak and ale pie was amazing!!! Would recommend anyone to come here.

Visited with work colleagues for evening meal. Staff were very friendly giving us a great welcome. The food was very good especially the steak and ale pie! We also thought the meals were very good value. Would highly recommend this pub

this pub only keeps from power. her latest menu is fantastic. we have been twice and had the nasty pot that was absolutely delicious, and then the bark and the aale that could be the best food I've ever eaten. I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating that we can't believe how good it is in there. they also have great local beers. Voir le carte

This is a delightful English pub, serving great pub food alongside excellent ales, lagers and wines. The staff were highly efficient and very friendly, without being intrusive. We are flying from Heathrow tomorrow and wanted a good meal before retiring to our hotel; this did not disappoint, in fact it’s our second visit and certainly won’t be our last. Thank you!

Had dinner here Saturday evening, booked a table for 7 PM. I completely forgot Rugby was on and there were quite a few guys who were loud, probably had been there for a while. We were quickly moved to another table at the front of the pub. The staff were very friendly and polite, can't fault that. The food was OK, I opted for the crab and prawn linguine. It was just re-heated, I would expected them to have at least tossed it up a little bit to make it look fresh but the top looked dry when it was put in front of me. It was tasty and a good size portion. It is more of a pub a , than pub/diner, my mistake booking it. Parking is at a premium as well. No car park and we had a few minutes walk to...

This is a lovely pub with a cosy atmosphere. The main impression is that it has retained a village feel without any loss of the food quality which was very high. Our party had among other things the steak pie, the sausage and mash and chicken pasta. The service was attentive. The menu selections are just right. Apple Crumble with custard for pudding. Don't think this is trying to be a super gastro pub it's just a very friendly and well managed local with very high quality pub food. An absolutely delicious and unfussy afternoon. The London Pride is well kept. My only comment would be to enquire if the landlord or landlady might think about keeping a couple of non alcohol IPAs bitter stout or... Voir le carte
