"Based on taste, price and portion size, this is one of the best kept secrets in Koblenz. I visited this restaurant last weekend on Saturday midday, after making a reservation for two on the Wednesday before. We were greeted shortly after coming through the door...and our reserved table was waiting for us, as promised. The Menu consists of both German and Italian dishes. Plus, vegetarian diet meals, are also available. The Menu is easy to read and understand. Portions are very adequate and prices are below average. I had a schnitzel with French Fries and salad. My partner had tomato soup and Rigatoni with Spinat und Gorgonzolakäse. I tasted both dishes and I can happily recommend both meals as delicious. The salad/soup were served first and then the entrees, as it should be. The food came, hot as required and within a timely manner. Empty plates were collected, when appropriate and at that time we were nicely asked if everything was OK. At one point, my partner asked for an extra spoon and it was eloquently handed to her on a napkin. The atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant nicely decorated, but not over done. The restaurant is roomy and well organized concerning space. It would be a great place for a special occasion. We were friendly wished a pleasant day by the owner, as we left the Gasthaus. This Gasthaus has its own parking lot, with spaces for about cars, so we didn’t have to go hunting for a parking space on the street. There is also a nice terrace in the front of the Gasthaus that surely is full in the summer. The Internet page is very well organized and informative with the Menu On-line, but it is only in German. Negatives are: as we arrived, it was snowing and the steps were not cleared off. Nor were they cleared off, as we left (since it had stopped snowing), so we had to be careful not to slip and fall. The carpet needs cleaned. Overall this restaurant receives my best recommendation and I will be back to enjoy another meal."

Wir waren schon häufiger essen. Alles was von einem Besuch in einem Restaurant erwartet wird, wird immer erfüllt. Zum Ende gibt es einen super Espresso. Wir sind sehr zufrieden.

Sehr freundlich und sehr gutes Essen! Klasse, dass wir ihn in Arenberg haben. Hier bedient der Chef noch selbst. Man kann auch prima zum daheim Essen bestellen. Vielen Dank und weiter so!

Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir waren mit Kleinkind unterwegs, es wurde uns drinnen ein Platz angeboten wo auch der Buggy mitkonnte, ein Hochstuhl wurde gebracht, Wasser fürs Babyflächen gekocht.

Das Essen und der Service waren gut und schmackhaft, schön angerichtet und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Das Lokal ist schon etwas älter aber sauber. Die Toilette mit Stufen ist etwas schwierig für ältere oder gehbehinderte Personen.

Online Bestellt. Es kam ein Rückruf, weil die Bestellung von mir nicht ganz eindeutig war. Was ich gut fand! Ja... Ok... Die Lieferung hat etwas länger gedauert, als angekündigt. Hat aber diesmal nicht gestört. Die Pizzen waren sehr lecker. Der Salat wirklich sehr gut. Sicher nutzen wir den Service wieder. Über das Ambiente kann ich nun nichts sagen... war halt in der eigenen Wohnung :

after a long time (10 years) we visited the red hahn in arenberg again. 10 years ago this was a very good pizzeria which was led by Tunisian weten (?!)! then was empty and yesterday, after the gauklerfest on the fortification we decided to visit a spontaneous one. we were there so against 19.00 and the load was very well visited. had changed nix, ewtl. one should renew the carpet floor!. the service was very nice and relatiw quick. we had a good starter mixed. I had spagetti with fish and my wife lasagne eating was very good, price/ performance very good! we'll probably be back.
