"I had been wanting to try out this pub for a while because of its reputation for offering gluten-free food and being knowledgeable about cross contamination. Despite arriving late due to flooded roads, we were still warmly accommodated. It was a relief to be able to order without worrying about cross contamination. The roast beef Yorkshire pudding was a delightful treat, although I should have opted for the smaller portion. They have a new menu in the works with even more gluten-free options. I will definitely be returning, and I appreciate that they also welcome dogs."

beautiful pork and apple-terrine starter and sticky toffee pudding finish. but too much to eat to remember grab the posh truthahn main course and also very helpful staff.

We had a delightful dinner at the Rockingham Arms. Everything was just right - the ambiance was cozy, the staff was friendly, the menu had a good selection at affordable prices, and the food was fresh and homemade. It was a perfect evening.

Great value. Staff were exceptional and very polite. Dog friendly, provided a water bowl and treats which was very nice. There's a great walk about a battle that took place in Towton with information boards, so you can start or end the walk here.

There for Sunday lunch, with my family, nine in total, (a big Birthday party) we had great meal. Sorry I can’t add a photo, before I could get my phone out to take one, all the plates were empty. Everyone really enjoyed it, Great place to eat, don’t drive by.

Previously this afternoon our 4 dogs had a fantastic pub lunch. Once we arrived, the staff were friendly, attentive and very welcome. they were a real dog friendly pub to fit with excellent customer service and pub duck. we had fish and chips and fish finger sandwiches washed with a few well packed blonde gastroes. That's exactly what we want from a real British pub, we're coming back! 5 minutes from the riverside to foot on the tadcaster, which is better to spend their weekend!

the staff was very friendly and polite. my friend is zöliakie and we were very surprised how good this is here, the eating was delicious! we went for a second visit and had surfing and shaking, eating here is so delicious! the steak was perfectly cooked, the garlic butter prawns were amazing and even the chips were better than other places we were. the personal was amazing, friendly, courteous and made the additional effort as it was my friends birthday. we will be here regularly!
