"had dinner here on Friday evening with friends and was very dissapointed. the menu has changed from what it was earlier, not sure whether its new cook, cut or something else, but the menu was like a bar menu, very basic. the portion sizes were good, but not a large choice, i.e. fish chips, Mac'n cheese, steak cake etc. dinge that they would make home? ends up trying the lasagna that saw and tasted good for about ten minutes until I ran out of meat and was with a teller from the left. pasta with tomato and cheese?! there was nothing really different? it is a beautiful restaurant and was always really busy, but there were only three tables occupied? I think the menu could be the reason? such a shame, but I really think they have to get her play a bit up? I have also passed the puddings, which were a bit steep at £7.50, again for nothing really exciting, not even a cheeseboard they have always offered. I'm sorry we don't come back. I really hope that the catering team will rethink their menu, as it will be really disappointing not to be able to go to Christmas there as it was really such a tasty before? I must add the personal is very attentive and pleasant. sad, I would not recommend this place at the moment for eating, but they have a large bar above and an Indian restaurant that is very good."

Nice bar, I had a brie sandwich and soup if the day. Staff were accommodating and the beer was fresh on tap.

I have eaten some paints here and really enjoyed it. the few vegan options are marked on the menu, there are no last, but they are nice. the thai curry is delish and they make a good risotto. the tofu burger was literally a silk tofu on a bungalow, so check with the cook to see if this was improved.

Today we had a family meal for 27 people booked at River Inn. It was a wonderful success with great food, great service and great value for money! We use River Inn a lot for family celebrations, and have never been disappointed!I would highly recommend this place. My very special thanks to the staff who attended to us today. You were all stars!
