Das Café ist seit Kurzem ein italienisches Restaurant, welches durchaus einen Besuch verdient. Die Karte bietet eine reichhaltige Auswahl für jeden Geschmack, man isst sehr gut. Es empfiehlt sich, genug Hunger mitzubringen, denn die Portionen sind wirklich groß. Der Padrone ist humorvoll und bleibt auch dann freundlich, wenn die Gäste verspätet eintrudeln.

Italienisch zu essen erscheint zunächst nicht besonders originell, aber die Lage ist hier einfach unschlagbar. Man sitzt nur wenige Meter entfernt vom Gründungsort der Weimarer Republik, dem Theater von Weimar. Beim Essen kann man also ein wenig Geschichte fühlen, wenn man will. Der Service ist erstklassig; die Preisgestaltung ist entsprechend selbstbewusst.

In the summer we are always looking forward to sitting at the Goethe and Schillerdenkmal in the Terassen area of this restaurant. A large selection of ice cups, coffee and cake makes this break very pleasant during a city walk. They also feel like in the heart of the city, as there is always a rainy public transport before the theatre. The service is friendly and dedicated.

Six of us stopped here on spec mid afternoon while visiting the Christmas market. They were doing a deal on a coffee and cake combo, so while everyone else had that I of course had a spag bol. I often eat this when away, but this was one of the best - plenty of spag and plenty of bol and great flavour, top quality served hot with a full pot of parmesan - for me, perfect. Good value too!

My review of Theater Cafe in Weimar. Especially in the summer months very well visited restaurant/cafe directly at the theatre in Weimar. The food is very good for lunch where there are regional servant dishes. Also the location is excellent as it is located at the theatre and here much goes with tourists, but also locals, so you always have something to see. Operation very friendly and also waiting times remain within limits. That's why the thumbs are high.

Eigentlich wollten wir nur ein Eis essen aber im überfüllten Eiscafe nebenan gab es keinen Platz mehr also dachten wir uns - trinken wir erstmal was und schauen dann weiter. Nach einem Blick in die Speisekarte konnten wir aber nicht anders und mussten unbedingt Bruschetta und Panna Cotta probieren - sehr lecker! Nach einer Runde durch Weimar sind wir dann nochmal eingekehrt und haben uns mit Pasta gestärkt - ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert - leicht und lecker wie in Italien! Der Service war sehr nett und wir wurden samt Kind und Hund gut umsorgt! Preislich ist es absolut angemessen, wer dieses Essen nicht zu schätzen weiß, der kann auch zur Dönerbude gehen!
