"It's been a while since our last visit to La Fornace and we've made it a whim, an early Monday in January. Upon arrival we were delighted to be greeted by Gino the Pizzamann, who took over from the waitress and led us to our table. It's been a long time since we met Gino. He left La Fornace for some time, so his return as the chief pizza manufacturer was a nice surprise. He is very kind to like to chat when he can and does a pretty good, authentic Italian pizza. On this special evening I ordered the Parmesan cheese/rucola salad as an appetizer, followed by the pizza with hot, spicy Italian sausage, Gorgonzola cheese and spicy peppers. Delicious. My wife went for a huge tuna-based salad and my son chose his standard salami pizza. Drinks included caught Pils beer, Lambrusco and soft drinks. And the owner offered us free Grappa/Amaretto at the end of our meal, which was beautiful. In the evening we learned news about the changing property/stock of the company somehow all including different family members, as I suspect you would expect. We enjoyed our short evening on this quiet, first Monday of the New Year. We will be getting back more frequently in the future."

La Fornace is only 300m from home, was here often. Generally a good, fresh bread, friendly staff (mostly), good taste of food, reasonable price. Come on!

there always seem to remember me even when i pass by once in 1 or2 years large and nice restaurant, food is exellent, carry out too as long you going to pick it up 6pizza 48 bucks plus 2 free beer on the house while i was waiting ,staff very friendly bar is small but room for 6 is enough lots of locals,catch up with the lates news you never heard of .giuseppe a perfect host

We have been guest at the restaurant for two times during the last week. What a gem in the beautiful area around Bergisch Gladbach. We came once for lunch and once for dinner. Simple pleasure, speedy and attentive service. Pizza with great base and menu with a broad variety from fish, pasta, pizza and other dishes.
