"This place was a massive surprise with gorgeous food and dog friendly. From the outside The Rising Sun looks like an average village pub, but upon entry you realise that it’s not your average pub. The food although not cheap, was gorgeous this is an understatement we had a very warm welcome upon entering the pub by whom I assume was the owner or manager. He was extremely passionate about the ability of the chef and extremely knowledgeable about the food on offer as well as the drinks available. I would definitely recommend a visit to this hidden delight and we will certainly be back for a visit next year"

Welcomed by friendly staff the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely beautiful and the presentation also. We both had steak, cooked exactly how we both wanted it. There was absolutely nothing to fault and I will return here when back in Cornwall.

Had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant, but unfortunately, I was overcharged on the bill by £18 for being double charged for my second course. The pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The total bill came to £92.00 for a roast dinner, pudding, and beer, excluding service. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Wow! What a fantastic lunch we had. We received a very warm welcome as soon as we walked in. Conrad and his staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which is hard to come by these days. Nothing short of stunning! We just popped in for a drink after a walk on the moors, but feeling hungry, decided to stay and eat. We were so pleased we did! The food was amazing, every mouthful a pleasure! I could've eaten more, but that just left room for dessert! Also lovely and beautifully presented. It's just a shame we live an hour away, or we'd be in there all the time! Top notch

We booked this beautiful pub to have lunch while on our way to Cornwall for a regular short break. Amazing restaurant quality food at affordable prices. Superb set menu at only £30 for a 3 course lunch. The main menu looked good too and for the quality of food, it was not expensive either. Very dog friendly, excellent service too. A little Gem, we will be visiting again next time we have another break. Thank you

Met up with family to celebrate Birthday Anniversary lunch. Heard many good reviews on the Riding Sun and it certainly lived up to the reviews. The welcome by staff on arrival was perfect and made you feel at home. Service was top notch, and as for the food…. Delicious, as I would expect with any establishment that Nathan Outlaw is involved with. One final comment… The Egg Custard tart for dessert was the best I have ever had.Thank you Rising Sun

Well, we happened upon the Rising Sun whilst looking for a place to walk the dog. I’m so happy we did, the staff were quietly friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the local area and their own menu. They welcomed our dog and made no fuss about her rather superior needs Salukis never settle on bare floors! I would have taken pictures of the food, but it was too delicious to mess around photographing! So readers, just come and try it for yourselves soon! You won’t be disappointed.
