Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly! Had Sunday lunches, wow 7 types of veg, gravy tasty and meats melted in mouth. Desserts were all homemade one called Jaffa Cake was very popular. The building itself was interesting, beams and thatch. We will be back"

Characterful olde English pub, thatched roof, wood beams etc. Great views across the harbour. Dog friendly. The food was the highlight though, exceptional!

Fantastic food and really good service. We particularly enjoyed the poached pear dessert. Visited here on the last evening of our holiday and was not disappointed.

By far the best restaurant pub in Lynmouth My Monkfish Pork Belly was amazing Food aside the staff were great, so friendly, happy helpful. All 7 of us had a great night out

Sat here for a few drinks and a snack. Nice seating outside looking at the sea front. Toilets are in good condition but (at least the women's) toilets doors are a bit disquieting haha

Managed to get a table before the rush on a Friday evening without booking. Lucky us! We shared the roast seafood platter, which included crab claws, clams, king prawns in their shells shelled prawns and mussels, in a lovely wine sauce with chips and bread. Delicious and great fun to share Followed it with a stunning sweet gooseberry tart, and accompanied by a bottle of Prosecco. Delicious

Met up with some local family yesterday evening and decided to order two of the Côte de boeuf from the specials board, one medium, one well done. All I can say is WOW, the chef and his team absolutely surpassed our expectations with the cooking quality and taste. As a self proclaimed steak connoisseur I will highly recommend the dish and restaurant to all of my friends, family and the Tripadvisor community

If you want brilliant service come to Rising Sun. You first go in as customers and leave as friends. The staff can’t do enough for you, make you feel welcome, accommodate the requests of a toddler and engage in conversation they are genuine lovely people. We had delicious Sunday Roasts, then went back everyday since! Ambience is very cosy and warm with good music in the background. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.
