"Andy Richardson's review of Cafe Ruiz in The Shropshire Star could not have been more derogatory. It might have put me off booking for our party of 8 this evening. I am so glad it didn't. We had a truly fabulous time. Plenty of ambience, delicious food (especially the calamari and garlic chicken). Front of house were genuine, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. They didn't rush us and we relaxed in the lovely atmosphere. Words to describe Cafe Ruiz would be relaxed, warm, authentic, delicious, ambient and a great place to relax with friends. Just goes to show you should always find out for yourself!"

"The highlights of this café include the beautiful view overlooking the Bridgnorth valley and the River Severn. The ambiance is pleasant and the lady who greeted us was friendly. We were seated near a window, which was ideal. My partner and I both ordered flat whites and scones. Unfortunately, our coffee cups arrived with spills on the saucers. Although replacement saucers were provided, there was no real apology and the staff seemed confused. The scones were the disappointing part of the experience. My lemon scone and my partner's plain scone were described as the worst we had ever eaten, resembling congealed sawdust. We did not finish them. The coffees were average. We cannot comment on the quality of other food items. Overall, the location was lovely but was let down by terrible scones and inadequate staff training."

"From the ease of booking ,attentive confirmation and a warm welcome . I felt it was going to be a good night. My family and I all had one problem too many delishious dishes on the menu and it was hard to chose. ,My wife had the Mackerel and Steak both dishes full of flavour, my son had squid and duck and was very happy with his food , my other son had Crab salad followed by Belly pork and thoroughly enjoyed both. I had 2 starters chicken livers and crispy chicken thigh followed by Chicken shnitzel all very very good Overall it was one of the nicest meals we have had in a long time Thank you very much everyone at the Pheasant"

"I'm looking for something to eat and came over saros. it is not a vegan restaurant, but has a vegetarian section to the menu and after the request with the manager I was satisfied that he understood our requirements and was happy to help. we chose a few dishes from the menu and he advised that both were not actually vegan and pointed to those who were. I had sweet jalfrazi, which was great, and my wife ordered the garlic vegetarian curry, also first class. although the menu did not indicate which bindestriches were vegan, there was actually a lot of choice. be careful and ask them because the thing is like funky and wobbly bhaji are not vegan here."
