"What a pity! I’m visiting Innsbruck over 15 years multiple times per year. This restaurant has been always very authentic, sharp prices, friendly staff and most of all: very very very good local Austrian food. I must be honest: The new renovation looks very cool and hip! But…the prices, food, new management and staff are very bad. I’m sorry for my wording, but it’s really not well. I talked to friends living in Innsbruck and they confirmed that a lot of local inhabitants confirm the above. Again: The place looks cool and hip, but in terms of prices, food, management and staff it’s not wort it anymore. Note: I visited three times in a three month period when the renovation and new management took place and all three times I had the above experience."

The schnitzel is a must ,and so is the strudel ( it is so light you won't feel guilty about eating it ) . What s more the seating is spacious and makes you feel at home .

Located in the heart of Old Town of Innsbruck, the restaurant is constructed like a 17th century tavern. The food quality is good. The Wiener Schnitzel is highly recommended

Gasthaus Goldnes Dachl was a nice place to eat. It is convenient for when you are visiting the Altstadt. We went twice, at least. The food was really good and we would go again when we go back to Innsbruck. The employees were very nice and friendly/helpful.

We saw this place on Saturday and was packed out so we though we would go on Sunday and it also seemed a very traditional restaurant. Slightly disappointed with meal, not much meat and no real flavours, I though I would try the strudel for pudding and was told be careful hot plate, but the plate was cold and so was the pudding and custard and had no real flavour at all

This restaurant looked so inviting and cosy that we decided to have dinner there.Bad mistake - the waitress was pleasant - but the food was just so disappointing. I ordered the lamb stew with vegetables envisaging portions of lamb in a thick sauce. Wrong. The lamb (and not much of it) came in what apparently was meant to be a broth but looked like water. Potatoes were the main element of the dish though they, and the few pieces of vegetables, were drowned. Overall, tastless. Picky Partner had a veal schnitzel - served with a mass of potatoes and no other vegetables. He gave his meal 4/10.We do not recommend and would not return.
