"The meals (Schnitzel & Spätzle and Schweineschäufle & dumplings) were large in portion and for a reasonable price, served quickly. The taste was good, as expected, but no "ohs and ahs".. The typically German wooden interior and charming atmosphere does it all for you, really! What decreases my rating to a 2 for is the lack of interest and accurate behaviour from the staff, sadly. They are efficient, cutely dressed and all, yes, but STRESSED and they do not really seem interested in making the guests comfortable and happy. And: Half way through our meal one of the waitresses changes my husband's (empty) glass of beer and it accidentally smashes into my 3/4 full glass of beer which falls and breaks into small glass pieces all over; onto our table, my half-eaten dinner and onto the floor and my jeans and shoes. Reaction? No excuse!! The waitresses look at me, with sour faces (as if I was the one making trouble) and just help each other to clean things up and pours me a new 3/4 full glass of beer! No question if I wanted a new meal (how could I be sure there was no glass in my half-eaten meal?) No additional offer of free dessert/coffee or something else to make up for my ruined dinner experience, no discount when we paid.. I'd say: "Nie wieder" as they say in Germany!"

And they took Visa. We had excellent sauerbraten and Deer goulash along with all the trimmings. The desserts were also very good and overall a good value for a tourist area.

Ambiente tipico alemão. A decoração é fantástica. Pode escolher qualquer prato pois o que nos servirem estavam otimos e as outras mesas observamos elogios. Vale de saideira pegar um Apfelstrudel, ai a refeição fica completa.

We stopped by on our way from town to our hotel and asked to reserve an outdoors table and they said to be back by 6 or they could only reserve indoors; however, when we arrived at 6:30 pm, the very last outdoors table had been reserved for us. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals - goulash, plain schnitzel (my one son voted it number 2 from 5 restaurants between Germany and Austria) and 2 schnitzels one a special with Chanterelle mushrooms and the other their standard mushroom sauce.

Sapendo della grande confusione che v' è in questi ristoranti del centro del paese, ci siamo presentati presto e abbiamo avuto subito un'ottima impressione data dalla spettacolare birra che ci è stata servita, dal locale caratteristico (arredamenti in legno bavarese e una bella verandina esterna, solo il tessuto delle panche non era di gran gusto) e dall'accoglienza cortese, peccato che la cameriera si sia dimostrata un po' indisponente (per carità, faceva il suo lavoro, però un po' di simpatia in più non avrebbe guastato).
