Excellent food and friendly staff who helped all o our party as there was quite a few of us. Would definitely be returning

Great place to eat, the food was lovely and hot came out within reasonable time. Staff were extremely lovely and went above and beyond to make sure our table was ok.

Visited for a family meal. Great value for money and a huge menu choice. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. Yes the place is run down and needs a lick of paint, but the pleasant staff make up for it!

This place is so run down you wouldn’t let you dog inside, the only saving grace is that it will soon be shut down and turned into a hickory smokehouse. Let’s hope that they can employ a good management team and some good kitchen team

Came here for a family party, rang up on the morning and the manager fitted us in no problem. She was lovely and friendly and interacted with our children which was lovely to see. Even though extremely busy the food came out in reasonable time and was hot and delicious

This pub is located in a fantastic spot and has the potential to be great, but the owners keep re-branding it as the newest Chips eatery. There are constant changes to the menu, with variations like chips with pizza or pizza with chips. It's unclear who the owners are trying to target, but customers are looking for more variety and innovation than just themed menus.

We made a reservation for 11 people to celebrate 2 birthdays. We were very impressed with the delicious food, attentive and friendly staff, and the fact that all our meals arrived at the table together. The portions were generous, the food was served hot, and everything was reasonably priced. We are grateful for such a wonderful experience and look forward to returning soon.

What has happened to this place? Perfect location in a nice area and it used to be a fairly decent pub for a reasonably priced meal. Badly let done by messy, grubby surroundings and staff who don 't seem to care. Two examples from my recent experience: firstly, wine served in a tumbler because they had run out of wine glasses! Response from the bar staff, 'they 've probably been stolen '. Secondly, a fairly expensive £6.99) dessert of ice cream, chocolate and cream served in a warm dish. Waitress, 'All the crockery is warm here '. I think it 's likely to be the last time we eat here.

Thank goodness this pub has finally closed. I went with friends a week before it shut down, and I was shocked by the attitude of the elderly woman working behind the bar. She was rude and abrupt to the couple in front of me, charging them £3 for a glass of water with a dash of blackcurrant. To make matters worse, she poured me a pint of Guinness in a Carling glass, which was completely unacceptable. When I refused to accept it, a man behind the bar thankfully fetched a proper glass from the back. The woman clearly had no understanding of how to treat customers and was incompetent at her job. I am grateful that the pub has closed and that she is no longer there.
