The Ratskeller offers great local food and the service is excellent. Not to mention the awesome portions. Come hungry if you want to eat here

hours to be served main meal, everyone else in the restaurant was served before us, most of whom arrived after us, most had actually left before we were served, Shane as the food when it arrived was good. Not going to recommend or retuen

Very tasty food. Friendly and courteous employees. The prices are reasonable and fair. However, the furnishings are too uncomfortable for my taste. The food is good, especially the roulades and especially the Asian one. It 's just a shame that the kitchen fries the salmon dead . Service tried hard but unfocused. Restaurant befindet sich in der Innenstadt /Einkaufsstr. von Buxtehude. Service ist sehr gut, Essen sehr schmackhaft, humane Preise! Tische auch draussen vorhanden, Bedienung freundlich und hilfreich!Restaurant is in the Shopping and Pub area. The meals are affordable and very good, tasty. Outside tables available, Service very good, Stuff very friendly!

The service was exceptional and as my spoken German was virtually non existant a young waitress helped patiently with the menu. Steak, baked potato and salad duly arrived and the steak was cooked to perfection. I saw lots of burgers and chips being served in...large portions to very happy diners. The wine was also good and reasonably priced. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere as the place was full of locals. Would highly recommend Voir le carte

Been there by chance for a lot of restaurants in the old "Hanse" town of Buxtehude are closed on Sundays. We choose the Hot Stone Menu with some sides which was outstanding. In addition we had a Special Burger, that also was great. The staff...was fast and friendly, the home brew beer great and tasty, there was nearly nothing to complain, maybe only the additional price for any side coming with the hot stone, on all other dishes the sides had been included but, in general it was a great night

Der Ratskeller erfüllt die 3 Grundregeln der Gastronomie: Location, Location, Location. Ansonsten ist das Essen nicht so toll, der Service nicht so toll und das Bier gar nicht so toll. Das sage ich als STD-ler (Schönster Teil Deutschlands). Auswärtige Gäste werden etwas deutlicher sein. Im Prinzip ist mir das alles egal, aber warum muß das Bier so viel schlechter als im Brauhaus sein? - Erst wenn ich eine Antwort auf diese Frage bekommen habe, werde ich wieder einen Fuß in den Ratskeller stellen.

Update: The problem with the voucher was solved easily within a short time. Thanks to Ms. Lindenau! Food was very good, tasteful and visually very nice. However, the service was impossible. We gave away a voucher, which unfortunately we didn 't print out. What for? After all, it contains a QR code, so one assumes that there would be no problem with redeeming it. Completly wrong. Redeeming was not possible. Our really friendly and constructive suggestion that we could point out on the website that vouchers are only accepted in printed form was extremely outrageously reprimanded: OUR GUESTS usually know that!
