dipped to lunch. it is quite early, just as good, because very popular. friendly efficient staff. nice dinner. well kept beer. has both inside and outside seats. parking space for about a dozen cars.

Had a great lunch date with my wife yesterday. The rump steak was cooked to perfection and the Rat Sauce was amazing. My wife had the braised steak and mash and thoroughly enjoyed it whilst having fantastic view. Was our 1st ever visit but definitely won't be our last!!! Voir le carte

because they know what I have waited a year to visit the advice with my family. three excellent starters. I would highly recommend the mini-starter plate. fantastic. four upper baskets Sunday dinner and veggie meal. also the meals were excellent. the veggie said the choice was limited. (fussy) all in all we enjoyed our visit to the rat.

A lovely visit on a beautiful day. Sat in the garden with my dog after a warm welcome from the staff. What a treat to have a cold pint of cider on the sunny 1st of June! Food was very good. Potted shrimps followed by fabulous Confit Duck which was 'French good '! Would definitely recommend. This type of country pub is one of Britain 's greatest treasures.

great place, we booked a 4 day mini break around visiting this pub and we weren't disappointed. the conchiglie and the sirloin of beef we had was excellent with the veg being cooked to perfection. i even ate the cabbage which i rarely do. the beer was also very good (a pint called ratty, if you believe that) if had to be picky i'd say it was expensive but to be honest i expected that, look at £20 per meal but well worth it. we were thrilled to visit the advice inn, but we were disappointed that did not match our expectations at lunch and certainly not the prices that this pub won. we were a party of six four of us ordered duck jam and each portion was very dry as if they were plated and sitting under a heat lamp for some time then broken off again to serve the skin shortly before the crisp up. the carrots served along the duck were cold and also dry. the sweet ones were better.

the center of the kitchen is on traditional foods, but it is delivered with an instinctive feeling for the ingredients. all three dishes were cooked professionally and padded with taste. the positive impressions were amplified by the workers in front of the house, who were all very friendly during my meal. it can be from where I was in west cumbria, but the advice inn was worth definitiw, the all-round for. I would recommend it thoroughly and will definitely travel later to look back to North.

understated excellent not enough stars in the university my type of space. I'm not sure what I can say that it wasn't already said that some other reviews have read. traditional pub, there is no more enough of these, I felt instantly at home, the pub even melt welcome. I felt like a more regular, although that was my first visit. big choice of the beer, my first choice was not available as the barrel had not completed what tells me that if it is not correct, it will not be served. I suppose the menu changes regularly, the dishes I tried: hardened meat and cheese plate, generous amounts of everything and excellent brot. the slowly boiled bauch gay was perfection. dessert, chocolate and walnut...
