"What an incredible find. Went to Raphaels and it was such a lovely setting by the water really nice comfortable decor inside.The food was excellent quality combined with good portions. Had the calamari perfectly done , steak cooked beautifully, excellent quality and chocolate cheesecake . My date had the Bao Bun, Lamb and Ginger Ice-cream. Both of us really enjoyed our meals accompanied with excellent and attentive service. Ginger ice cream was beautiful, had dessert envy over that.We left quite late and were the last people to leave, but never felt rushed in the slightest.Excellent experience and keen to go back, next time I'm having the ginger ice cream to myself, incredible flavour."

The food is exceptional, the cocktails are fantastic, and the customer service is among the best I’ve encountered in Essex. I would absolutely recommend this hidden gem to friends and family!

7.50 for literary 2 chicken friend strip frozen and food taste really bad on top 12.5% table service this is still normal never againKid Friendship: very too expensive eating is bad and the money at all is not worth and ordered pinacolada it tastes really bad 6.50 plus 12.5% table service just too much

The food was excellent, first and foremost. However, there were a few other aspects that could use improvement. On a chilly November evening, the restaurant felt rather cold. Despite being the only guests, our starters took longer to arrive than anticipated. Additionally, my dining companion was not satisfied with her Sauvignon Blanc. On a positive note, the chef came over to chat with us at the end about our experience and appeared to genuinely consider our feedback, so hopefully things will get better over time.

STAY AWAY!! Everything is frozen, from the dumpling we ordered to the burger it was clearly not made in house! Absolutely disappointed, they claim a lot however clearly don’t have a clue, they have no idea the meaning of what homemade means! Women that claims to be the chef was sitting in the front of house looking like she’s run down and out! Hope she gets some rest from serving all this frozen rubbish. And lastly the bill OMG how can you sleep at night knowing what you do! I give this place 6 more months till doors close! The Turkish guys before hand was much much better!

We returned to Raphaels again last night to celebrate my birthday and love, love, loved it. The service and quality of food was fantastic, they went above and beyond to make the evening great. We had cocktails to begin followed by a great selection of starters and mains and desserts, something for everyone's taste.Personal highlights were the fish tacos and also the truffle cheese and seeded crackers, some smaller dishes but ones that sum up how, when done right, small can still mean big, wonderful flavour.Thank you Megha and team for making my birthday with friends such a great one.
