This is a great little bar cafe with fabulous American breakfast, burgers, sandwiches. Staff is very friendly. We love it here!

Excelent food and hospitality. The breakfast is excelent and the antipast is fantastic! Prosciutto, cheese, toast, olivas, french fries! The drinks are also very good. The aperol spritzs and cold beer.

A culinary oasis in the Scalea region that only opened a few months ago! One can only eat so much pizza and pasta, and Genova A Tipico really addresses a major gap in the market. Great Angus burger! Great egg dishes for breakfast (otherwise you...can only find baked goods in town). Luca the owner/chef is committed to providing something no one else is capable of. The bar has a good scene there too. I have eaten meals in a day there a number of times now, and brought the family on weekends and it's always lively. The salads are refreshing and complex. We were visiting Scalea in December and while we like outdoor eating and drinking we needed a warm cozy place so we checked out Bar Genova and boy are we glad we did. We had had drinks on the patio on our summer visit but...this time we discovered the cozy room in back. Drinks and aperitivo were top notch, but what caught my eye were the fish and chips and Hamburger. The fish and chips were the real deal, cod in a famiiar batter and the hamburger was large and delicious. Since we live in Sclalea a few months of the year we sometimes crave more American style cuisine and they nail it here. We are regular visitors to Scalea and this bar is our go-to for breakfast, dinner and drinks. Run by Luca and his charming wife Rossana the bar offers a delicious American breakfast to set you up for a day on the beach and then you...can return for aperitivo, dinner and late evening drinks. Luca is a big music fan so the recorded sounds on offer are always the very latest from his extensive playlist and once a week during the season a live band plays on the open air terrace. The drinks menu is extensive with every conceivable cocktail to interest you and specials' made to order if you're a connoisseur.
