"Was travelling to London back from Wales when decided to pop in for a pint to this vegan pub. After having a super warm and welcoming chat with the host, a lovely woman who owns the pub with her husband who works in the kitchen, we were invited to stay for the Sunday roast. Me and my partner had the bruschetta and falafel starters each. So fresh and delicious, brought over and served by the chef which was a very nice touch. The pictures speak for themselves the food both looked and tasted amazing. For mains we both opted for the mushroom wellington. I’m not religious but oh my god was it good. I am a big fan of beyond meat and all that, but the flavour in this dish made me grateful that we weren’t served something that was meant to imitate. It was so jam-packed of flavour and the pastry was so buttery and crisp it was absolutely stunning. Sadly we didn’t try the dessert as we were so full already but for sure will next time instead of having that second pint. Coming back here ASAP!"

Really good jack and chips. I'll have to go back because the Korean style pancakes also look delicious. Of course it'll be very difficult to resist the jack n chips, so good job they also offer take always

We enjoyed a group meal of fish and chips with curry and mushy pea sides. For dessert, we had a delicious Biscoff cheesecake and chocolate torte. The service was excellent and the food was incredible! The fish was cooked perfectly, a standout dish. Voir le carte

All drinks are vegan, so we had 2 non alcoholic beers. Menu is mostly plant based although they do fish and chips. We had Jack chips which we had with mushy peas, and the Korean pancakes with noodles, dipping sauce kimchi. Both were tasty big portions! For dessert we shared a caramelised biscuit cheesecake followed with oat cappuccinos.

It's wonderful to discover a pub that is completely plant-based, especially knowing that the owner is vegan and truly understands the importance of providing animal-free options. You can rest assured that there is no risk of cross-contamination with meat products. During the lockdown, they may have offered a couple of non-vegan options for takeout to support themselves through the Covid crisis, but otherwise, everything on the menu is purely plant-based. I have visited this pub twice now and recently had a gathering with local vegans. We all enjoyed the delicious jackfruit and chips, which was surprisingly good considering I'm usually not a fan of jackfruit. The desserts were also to die for...

"We came to visit here after hearing the new owner was starting to make a bit more effort with his business after a year of being there. We were greeted by fag butts all over the floor, along with a load of rubbish and flower beds full of junk and fag butts. Not the greatest welcome, but we continued. The entrance corridor was dark and half lit by fairy lights on the ceiling. No one was really in the pub, apart from a couple of what I assume to be locals sitting at the bar. The bar area was a mess, with bottles everywhere, dirty glasses (not sure where they came from as the pub was empty). We asked to look at a menu and was handed a folded and ripped bit of paper, which was strewn with spelling and grammar mistakes. The guy behind the bar looked totally at a loss surrounded by mess on his own. The coffee machine was surrounded by dirty napkins and sachets of sugar, with a pint of milk sat out on the side (not in the fridge). The floors don’t seem to have been washed since 2015, and don’t even get me started on the windows. What was once a beautiful beer garden is now covered with tents and tables are stacked in the flower beds. There’s no real sign of life outside apart from the mould that seemed to be growing in the ash trays. The pizza oven is filled with fag butts and rubbish, something I’m sure environmental health would have a field day with. I was also suggested to go upstairs to the ‘pool room’ a room with sticky floors, sticky tables and more strewn rubbish. The pool table barely works without a good kick in told. I popped outside of said pool room to find a stair case leading down to the garden covered in glass and yeah you guessed it fag butts. It’s such a shame that this lovely little pub has been treated with such lack of respect, and it is now so far away from its former glory that its hard to believe it will ever regain it. I will not be coming back."
