"We were 6 adults on a narrowboat holiday moored overnight on the Grand Union canal. A 10 min walk past the church brought us straight to the pub. Apart from food and drink an important consideration was their Covid 19 measures. On arrival we were...impressed by the building's overall well maintained appearance and cleanliness plus the additional procedures put in place to minimise the risk of infection. Our table was nicely separated from other diners and the overall ambience was of a warm and friendly pub. For mains our order included liver, steaks and a Thai curry accompanied by Narrow Gauge beer and various wines, we did not have starters or a dessert. In all respects this was a most enjoyable meal made all the the more remarkable by the exceptional value for money. But perhaps in these exceptional times as visitors we appreciated the high standards of hospitality and service set by the managers and staff to ensure we voted the Plume of Feathers best pub of our holiday. Thx guys."

Just finished an excellent Sunday Roast collected as a takeaway. The roast beef was tender and tasty accompanied by some excellent roasts and veg. Best takeaway for ages and will certainly be back. Voir le carte

What a great, friendly no nonsense pub! A real find. They couldn’t be more helpful at squeezing us in even though we hadn’t booked a table. Food was great pub grub and tHe portions were very generous and great value for money. Not to be...missed!

great reception, good choice of real ale and other drinks, a real English country pub. fantastic lunch with service to fit, good eating, well presented what we hoped in the middle of a walk along the nearby canal grande union. Well...worth is holding here and will certainly eat here again when we are back in the opposite. Voir le carte

we came to Weedon to visit the depot and arrived in time to fall into this lovely pub. They were serving the perfect lunch, sausage and mash with delicious Cumberland sausage and perfect mash with peas and sublime gravy. The staff were all very friendly...and the service was brilliant. The decor was tastefully done and in keeping with the age of the pub. highly recommended as is the depot.

Well this is definitely the best place to have a meal in the area. I should know because I ate out every night for 6 months and this was my favorite location by far! The team are so friendly and make you feel so welcome!...The food is superb and freshly cooked. Just came back after being away from the area since January! Has it changed with Covid! Not a chance still, the friendly welcome by the fabulous team! Thank you so much!!!

"I had been reading a lot on Facebook about the pub and the quality of the food on offer. So when my partner suggested an impromptu Sunday lunch I suggested The White Horse. I called to check they would still be serving as time was getting on. I booked a table for 3.30pm. We arrived and were met by very friendly staff who got us drinks and showed us to our table. I had intended to try the new Trio of meats sharing board which had been publicised on Facebook, however it transpires that it had “blown up” and sold out in hours. Also, they were out of beef and Yorkshire puddings. Could have been disappointing but we are both realistic people and understand we had booked last minute and late in the day, the weather was also fantastic so a lot of folks were out and about. The waitress offered us steak in place of beef. When we had asked about the sharing board she asked the kitchen what they could do and they were able to offer some pork belly, which my partner had, I took the steak. We shared bread and olives to start, with some halloumi fries. My partner says they were the best she had ever had. Both dishes were delicious. The main courses were equally delicious. I particularly enjoyed the red cabbage and cauliflower, the pork was moist and sweet, the steak tender. We very much enjoyed our experience and will be back very soon, though we will plan better, book earlier and will give a review on the Trio of meats sharing board very soon. Looking forward to it already. Highly recommended."
