"We went for Sunday family lunch to celebrate what would have been our mum’s birthday as this was her favourite restaurant. Food was first class as was the service. One gripe. Extremely disappointed as we booked and paid a deposit for 10 people and only 8 of us could make it due to last minute sickness and we were deducted the 2 poorly peoples deposit as no show so £20. We were told it’s the restaurant policy. Surely this could have been discretionary. Sgt Peppers was our lovely mum and dad’s place they would go for special occasions and take friends and family (and were known to the staff) and I know they would have been as surprised and disappointed as we were. Would have given 5 stars if we hadn’t had this experience."

"if they are not in the position to be booked in vita bella, they come here, so, come here anyway. eating is fantastic, the menu offers something for everyone. the antipasti starter would be a lot for two people, a large selection of fresh meat and food. the service is attentive, without being intrusive, and although it was quiet on Tuesday night, it felt no library like! a little jewel at the end of the burnham bends."

"Having sampled the lovely food at the Lakes frequently, my wife I decided to book a table for the first roast Sunday dinner of winter 22/23. We were not to be disappointed! My wife enjoyed the roast pork with all the trimmings I opted for the roast Sirloin of Beef, which was absolutely delicious! I thought about what made this such a great meal (for both of us) came to the conclusion, that everything tasted so fresh natural. I cannot finish without mentioning the staff, all of whom are really friendly, helpful make the dining experience a pleasure!"

"I decided to visit The Royal Oak in honor of my late father's favorite club. It was definitely the right choice. We had a memorable meal there, with fantastic service from the owners and staff. We were able to enjoy a peaceful and secluded courtyard all to ourselves. The food and service were both top-notch. It was the ideal location for our special occasion. Thank you for making our somber celebration so memorable."

"Went to The Castle today and had the steak special for 2 with a bottle of wine cost £28 included, your choice of colour. My wife prefers her steak to be blue although no blue button available,they put rare and in comments rare,rare My steak I asked for medium rare. My god they were amazing absolutely cooked to perfection. I would thoroughly recommend going too The Castle. What ever meal you order you will have a good meal, plus the beer ain 't bad either,the staff are friendly and amazing"
