"Located off the beaten path, this restaurant is definitely worth the journey through picturesque countryside and charming villages. Our Sunday lunch experience was fantastic, with a delicious roast sirloin of beef accompanied by sweet roasted carrots, crispy roast potatoes, and a Yorkshire pudding filled with bacon and sprouts. The extensive burger menu was a hit, particularly with the chilli enthusiast in our group. The kids menu was impressive, and the desserts, including sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie, did not disappoint. The relaxed atmosphere made for a welcoming environment where locals and visitors alike, including families with children, felt at home. All six of us agreed that it was a great place for Sunday lunch. The menu was clearly marked with gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions, and the staff were very accommodating to our children's preferences. The price per person was between £20-30, with top marks for the food and service, and a solid rating for the atmosphere."

"7 of us went to the 60th of my man and had an amazing evening. the service was absolutely excellent, from the moment we came in contact with the restaurant to book until the taxi at the end. my sister is in a wheelchair, but they went out of the way to make sure they get up and down the stages and sent photos from the steps before. it was good for them that they smacked the children's menu. they knew who we were and greeted us as soon as we arrived, and the person I went to book was imagined. there was always someone when we needed something, but they were not intrusive and left us to eat alone. eating was amazing and unique. they ran out of veggie, so they sent someone to get more for my daughter, and let us know that there could be a delay (which there was hardly any). the service was friendly and funny. we wondered when we went in, how easy it was to get a taxi as they are pretty remote, and they ordered us one with perfect timing. the best eating and the experience I had for many years, possibly ever."

"My wife and I own a number of pubs in the Harrow area. Looking to add another one to our portfolio, but in the countryside, and having been advised by a brewery rep that this pub was for sale, we chose to make a “...secret squirrel “ visit to check it out. The parking in the village was impossible, so we were pleased to see two cars finally leave the pubs own car park. Before we could reverse back up the high street a grey Land Rover beat us to it , but took up both parking places. I politely spoke to the owner of the Land Rover as to why he occupied both spaces. His reply was an unintelligible mumbled grunt, so I continued to back out of the car park into the High Street where we waited for a space to become free several hundred of yards away. As we then walked to the pub we saw that the Land Roger driver was waiting for us. We went in through the front door, he went into the side entrance. My wife and I then considered what to drink, only to find that the man took up position behind the bar. He then loudly accused us of being rude to him and became aggressive and evil tempered. He told his staff to not serve us and an argument then ensued. He ejected my wife and I from the pub. It is surprise that this landlord needs to sell his pub ; needless to say, my wife and I won’t be buying it !"

"I never give bad reviews but great tasty meal and reasonably priced for food. Drinks were absolutely extortionate but I guess that's how they make their money! A group of 10 celebrating a birthday. They took drinks order seperate, which was strange. After telling them 2 or 3 tines we needed seperate bills as everyone wanted to pay for their own meals etc, they presented us with a jumbled up bill, which was only food. Drink was on a seperate bill, which they would not give us to work out the extra cost. Everyone added up exactly what they had and we all paid separately. They then came to our table and said that we was £9 short. This did not make sense. We asked again to see the bill, so we could work it our for ourselves and they conviently said they had lost it, so how did they know we was £9 short. Either the menu prices weren't correct or they are diddling their customers. All in all, lovely food great company but s**t hosting skills!!!!! First time there, not impressed!!! Would return BUT would tally up as we go."

"We had a wonderful dining experience at The Crown last week. The appetizers on the specials board caught our eye, and we ended up sharing lobster fish cakes, duck spring rolls, and halloumi - all of which were delicious and beautifully presented. The menu was surprisingly extensive given the current post-covid restrictions, giving us plenty of options to choose from. For our main courses, I enjoyed a flavorful and filling five spiced chicken salad, while my husband loved his spicy prawn linguine. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the dishes were served with a smile. Despite previous reviews mentioning a local crowd, we found the atmosphere to be very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a great meal!"
