"Three years ago my husband and I were in Rome and ate here. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to eat there again on our trip this October. This time the weather was nice enough to enjoy an outside table. We started with the chicory salad and eggplant parmigiana. The chicory salad was new to me and I fell in love with it. I’m going to try and replicate it at home. Next we had the seafood pasta and pasta carbonara. Both were delicious. We were surprised to each receive a glass of limoncello along with an Italian wine cookie. Both very good. If we return to Rome we’ll again come here."

An absolute gem, I couldn’t fault the meal from the amazing bread basket, Beautiful antipasto, The seafood pasta it was hard to find the pasta with all of the mussels, clams and prawns, the chocolate dessert was amazing, they brought biscuits with the bill, Everything was home-made, and the service couldn’t be faulted.

Tornare all’Osteria del Gallo è un piacere per tanti motivi, dall’ospitalità alla cucina. Anche per scoprire nuovi piatti. Per esempio, boccole con ceci e cozze: ineguagliabile (con l’aggiunta di un apprezzato olio al peperoncino). E pure grappe selezionate che il signor Massimo suggerisce con competenza (questa volta in abbinamento al tiramisu). Non mancano i fuori menu che inducono in tentazione. Nel cuore del cuore di Roma, un luogo rilassante che vi conquisterà nel segno della semplicità e della cortesia.
